Meal satisfied, but felt portions could be a bit bigger. Sizzling Sweet BBQ sauce was tasty. Service was quick, but we felt could be more friendly, especially bringing us the bill without asking if we wanted dessert.More

I love Sonnys, no doubt about it. Even from way back in the 70's. You can't beat their pulled pork sandwich. Which is way larger than I can eat in one sitting. Out waitress was gem, very sweet and did everything she could for us....More

In 1968, we were just a local BBQ joint in Gainesville, Florida. Today, we're still a local BBQ joint. We just happen to be in a few more locations. But we still do things the same way Floyd "Sonny" Tillman and his wife, Lucille, did back then. We still slow-smoke over oak for up to 12 hours at a time. We still serve generous portions. And we still believe people should be able to go out to eat and feel right at home.
