Food was fair but our table needed to be cleaned with a Brillo pad it had so much accumulated dirt. It doubles as an American/Greek diner and sports bar. There appears to be a loyal following. Might consider the bar for a game, or food to go, but won't sit in a booth ever again.

The food is fantastic such a shame I will not eat there again because the cleanliness just screams I don't care about you! Greasy grimy carpet, sticky tables, horrible bathrooms!! The best mousaka I ever ate in the filthiest place I've ever eaten in! Please Sandy spend a little money and clean up the place... Smile once in a while... More

Very tasty Greek food. May favorite is the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Best burger in the Gainesville area.

Run down, yes, but the food and the interesting blend of owner and employees makes me return often. Nice to get a terrific burger or a wonderful gyro. Dark, a little dingy but worth the trip

Did I spell that correctly? Love that this is a neighborhood establishment and family-owned by actual Greeks! The food is legit and tasty. It's reasonably priced and the serving sizes are very good. The place isn't fancy, but some nights they offer live music. I often call in my order and take it to go. I recommend this place if... More

The chili is very good - thick and well seasoned. The burger (they only come in one-half pound) was juicy and tasted great. The place is a bit dark and dingy inside but the staff is nice and the owner genuinely interested in making sure your meal is satisfactory.

I used to frequent this place many times in the past but I got older and Sandy's got a little run down. The place doesn't look very likable from the outside, the inside is still homey if a little shabby. I always get a gyro to go and order an extra side of tzatziki sauce and it's enough for two.... This place is pretty tired and is supposed to be greek style restaurant. Is is not as it does not even have Avgo lemano soup. The greek salad is pretty good and the burgers are pretty good but as most Gainesville places it depends on who is cooking.

We almost turned around and walked away as this place is located in a dilapidated strip mall that is undergoing renovations. Yes, the place is rundown with duct tape holding most of the booths seats together and a lounge atmosphere but if you can overlook that the food is pretty good. My wife and I had the gyros and our...
