Country atmosphere with generous portions good for breakfast and lunch. It's a little like Cracker Barrel but with a local Florida flair. It should be famous for its sandwiches almost too tall to bite into.

Recently we had company from VA and had breakfast at Reds. Wonderful as usual and he agreed the Western omlette was terrific as was the shared biscuits and gravy. The biscuit egg and cheese sandwich is huge and plenty for the smaller appetite. Everything there is good and always served hot--big mugs of coffee and he service is exceptional.Only problem... Better go in hungry. Unless you are sharing or have not eaten for several days you will need to prepare to bring food home.

Some friends of ours who recently relocated to the Ocala, FL-area, said they were going to take us to the best breakfast place in the area! Don't know if it is the "best", but it has to be darn close! Though crowded, our party of six was seated immediately, and from there, enjoyed great service and great food! Pretty diverse... More

My wife and I had lunch at Red's recently. The atmosphere was rustic and fun with rough wood interior and a nice fireplace. The menu was full of great options and the meal we chose was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Took our friends to Reds Restaurant for breakfast and we all loved it so much they want to go there every time they visit. Just wish they were open for dinner.

Red's is 10+ miles northeast of Hernando Fl. If you haven't heard of Hernando then that tells you the remoteness of the location. Red's has an expansive breakfast/lunch menu. For breakfast, a friend and I split fried green tomatoes, pancakes, scrambled eggs, grits, and biscuit with sausage gravy. The best item was the fried green tomatoes, a firm green tomato... More

This is a great place to go to meet with friends when you are hungry. If you like biscuits and gravy, order the half portion unless you want to share with somebody. The prices are on the high side, so we don't go there often but when we do, we know the food will be good and plentiful.

Thank Jose R

Small local restaurant that my parents, who live in Ocala, go to. My husband and I stopped at for breakfast on 12/23/11. Worth stopping at.
