Stopped here for breakfast so glad I did! I love these small non chain type places this place is no exception food was cheap, excellent and I was stuffed! It's small busy but the service was excellent and staff pleasant busy but still took time to chat you up a little bit! You can also watch the cook make your meal!... More

Breakfast ok in this tiny spot on the highway. Potatoes were too greasy for me. Thought price was high for 2.

Biscuits are fabulous and homemade bread is definitely worth the return trip when in Marathon. Service is quick and meals are prepared as ordered.

We never like to eat at chains when we are on vacation. We decided to try this place based on a recommendation from a local. If you are looking for fine dining, this is not the place for you..this is a local, greasy spoon type place with absolutely delicious food. The biscuits were homemade, and everything was first rate. You... More

We love to sit at the counter and watch the show as the grill chef goes wild during the morning rush. Not fancy but wonderful breakfast & lunch menu. They even have scrapple as a breakfast side. Usually you gotta be in PA for that! Had an excellent BTL & conch chowdah for lunch today. Don't miss this friendly spot!

strictly so-so. Service was ok but the food wasn't too appetizing for a breakfast location. Sausage was less than fair. No matter what bread you asked for, you got white.

This little gem in Marathon originally opened in 1952. In the early years you could even get a bowl turtle soup. The Wooden Spoon has seen 4 owners in it's history. Most recently Tim took ownership in 2000 and has continues everything that has made the Wooden Spoon a landmark of the Keys. The portions are large and the biscuits... More

This was a perfectly fine place to stop for a greasy diner breakfast, but I didn't think it was anything special. My waffle was pretty dry, but again, fine. My friend has grits and a biscuit, which were also just fine. I probably should have ordered pancakes. The staff was very nice though and the place does have a good... More
