It is a very unique thing to have a restaurant in Miami Beach boast of longevity. Avanti has been able to keep that family owned great food and service without all of the trendy, gimmicky touristy stuff. It is simply great food with excellent service. Our family frequents this place quite often and they never disappoint. If you have a... More

Toured the Amalfi Coast last September-Best meal there was at Ristorante L'Abate in Sorrento Italy...until Cafe Avanti last night. Recommended by a local resident ,we found our meals to be perfect! The best Caprese salad I've had (as good as above) and amazing Veal Parmigiana-light, tender and delicious. Rigatoni with Italian sausage & Shitake mushrooms was excellent. Great selection and... We had just arrived in Miami and upon asking a bartender, he recommended us this restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes included a bowl of mussels and a couple types of seafood pastas. Yes, this cafe is rather expensive; but it's worth it! Head over and give it a try, you are likely to have a great time! *If... More

Very cozy, warm and friendly restaurant. We had the lamb chop special and the snapper. For dessert cheese cake, espresso and cappuccino. Wine list good. We selected the Villa Antinori and an Oyster Bay SB. Service and food presentation were superb.

I loved this restaurant. It has great selection on the menu and the prices are reasonable. The waiters were very nice and suggested great options. I loved the ravioli lobster, antipasto, tortellini and spaghetti. It's a spacious and beautiful restaurant located on 41st street. It's about a 15 minute walk from Collins avenue of coming from the South Beach/ Golden... More

How does a restaurant serve food without flavor? The stuffed artichoke was over cooked with a soggy filling of unflavored pulverized bread. And the veal scallop topped with an overdressed salad was, before the salad addition, soggy with was tasted like "older" olive oil. Perhaps we ordered incorrectly, but we won't be returning to "try again."

My wife and I eat out all over the country. A lot. Cafe Avanti is a "find". Great classic Italian with large portions and friendly service. The caprese and antipasta rustico were very good and almost enough to serve as a meal. In fact after those two appetizers my wife and I decided just to split an entree---lasagna. It too... More

This was a dinner for nearly 100 people and I was extremely impressed with the presentation, food quality and staff for this event. The food was outstanding and feeding that many people at one time usually brings with it several issues such as food delay, wrong orders and staff shortages. This was not the case. Give this restaurant a try,... More

Went to Cafe Avanti with my boyfriend last night and had a wonderful experience. Despite it being New Years Eve weekend, the service timely, friendly, and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and the menu is reasonably priced! This family owned restaurant is a hidden gem- Would definitely recommend this spot to others!

For 12 years I have been dining in Cafe Avanti, our "little neighborhood place". We went again last night with my mother, visiting from Caracas and, we were commenting how much we like the food, the ambiance and the warm welcome from Louis. Desi was our waiter and he treated us like royalty. Ralph's veal parmigiana was perfect and mom... More
