How many times, over the years, have we eaten at A Fish Called Avalon? Eight? Nine? Probably 10. How many times have we recommended it to friends? More than we can count. And each time we get nervous because so often ~ even after many visits ~ a restaurant will finally disappoint you. Not so with A Fish called Avalon!... More

Based on other reviews in Trip Advisor we had dinner at A Fish Called Avalon in South Beach and it lived up to the high ratings of others. The service was excellent and both of our meals were outstanding. We had just spent several days at the Waldorf Astoria in Boca Raton and the meal at Avalon was far better... More

Just returned from a superb dinner with everything: excellent food, superb service from Andrew; great ambiance! I had a half dozen delicious oysters followed by an outstanding rib eye steak. She had the ravioli and we both independently said it was our favorite of the trip! Wonderful setting on Ocean Drive at 7th with island music at just the right... More

We came here on our first night in Miami and will definitely be back. Everything was delicious and the food was perfect. We did not feel rushed at all which was nice. Highly recommend!

This place was absolutely delicious. It is on Ocena ave. And you can eat outside and people watch while eating. The food is delicious and the portions are pretty big. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. I highly reccommend A Fish Called Wanda

We had reservations and arrives five minutes before they opened at five thirty. We were able to sit outside overlooking the street and the wild Miami Beach parade of vintage cars but raised up on the veranda. Very comfortable. It quickly filled up. Food excellent. Pricey but worth it.

People watching was great. Our server could have been more attentive, but the music kept us from being too impatient. Definitely worth a try.

Excellent dining experience at this small hotel restaurant in South Beach. Blackened octopus appetizer and crab crusted grouper entrée were both outstanding. Service was excellent, but a bit too fast for my liking. Though I did not feel rushed, the fast pace of the service staff was noticeable. Outside seating is available and I would suggest anyone dining at this... More

I visited with two friends, I had the lobster bisque to start and then the glazed salmon. Both were bursting with flavor! The atmosphere was very relaxing and they had live music on the patio. It was a welcome change from the other restaurants on Ocean Ave who are constantly soliciting for your business. Looking for a nice dinner with... More
