The biggest Mojito ever seen and delicious
Served outside beautiful scenarios great music
We chose this place for dinner after looking at several menus along Espanola Way. The facility was nice and comfortable. But sadly, the drinks were awful. The food was sub-par and we all left hungry :( Nothing had flavor - everything was bland and not...visually appealing. I would choose somewhere else next time, especially since a dinner for 5 (with drinks) was $385.00More
When we got to the restaurant we were surprised to hear blaring music. There was a video screen with loud speakers so our first challenge was to find seats where we could actually hear ourselves talk. The prices were outrageous—$20 for a salad? And the...waiter couldn’t answer any of our questions. We asked how big the salad was—he didn’t know. The fish was listed at $49 per pound and when we asked how big a typical portion was he said 8 ounces. On the bill however, we were charged for a pound. The mixed drink had to be sent back because there was no alcohol. The waiter was completely inattentive after taking our order. The food was just ok. The most bizarre part of the evening however, was when waiting with three others in line for the ladies restroom, after quite some time the door opened and the male bartender walked out. All in all a memorable experience but for the wrong reasons. We won’t be back.More
Worst restaurant on Espanola way, worst management , terrible food, box mashed potatoes, rude staff.
I am a local and have experienced so so food quality in this area, but this place is by far the worst on so many levels !
Sent back the...under seasoned, under cooked , blood line throughout the salmon. The broccoli was cold and undercooked!
There was a palm sticking into the head of my partner, we asked 3 times to have them deal with it .. they didn’t
I bent the palm away from her head and they threatened to call the police .. this place is an excellent example of all that is wrong with south beach restaurants, low caliber ... the management is rude and disrespectful
DO NOT GO TO THiS HORRIBLE PLACEMore
I did my usual research on restaurants before our last night in Miami. Mare Mio had overall good reviews. I made a reservation (totally not necessary because we eat out early.) All of the restaurants in this area seemed pretty wide open at 6:30pm on...a Saturday night. We had a bottle of wine, the burrata appetizer, I ate chicken parmesan and my husband had a seafood platter. I wasn't paying attention to the prices because we were on vacation...but our meal with tip was over $175. My husband was bummed that his seafood platter was overcooked. The burrata was about $24 and was delicious...but twice the price of this appetizer where I live. I don't mind spending a lot for my meal...but felt this was not a good value here. My husband probably should have complained about his $40+ entree...but he hates to complain. Good things? The outdoor seating was awesome here, our server was great. Oh and I don't eat a lot of bread but the bread served here was amazing.More
After walk in Española Way we decided to take some drinks in Mare Mío because was the most quiet place in the street...We seated in the bar and Carlos made our drinks....We had the best Margaritas and Gin Tonics in Miami.
During a one night stay in Miami we decided on a seafood restaurant. Mare Mio is located towards the end of Española Way which is predominantly occupied by meditarranian restaurants.
We attempted to order three different bottles of wine; all of which were out of...stock so we settled for our fourth choice.
I ordered the deep fried prawns to start and my partner decided on the muscles. Both starters were good and well cooked.
We both decided on the seafood linguine at $38 each. Whilst the portion size was good the quality was only OK. For $38 I would expect much better quality. We are used to paying around £14 in a city centre restaurant for a much better quality seafood linguine back home.
A 20% service charge is automatically added to the bill which I think is the norm for the area.
We intend to return to South Beach but we certainly won't be dining here again.More
