We stopped for lunch during our family vacation and are sure glad we did!! Everything was absolutely fabulous-service, food, history of the location-all perfect! Has the Shrimp and Gouda Grits. It was phenomenal. My husband had the Chicken Devine and loved it as well. The homemade mixed berry cobbler was SO good too!! Highly recommend you stop here!!

This the once "nice" restaurant in town, so it's basically everyone's go-to for date night. The food and service are both inconsistent. (Unless you're sitting at the bar - Jill's great.) Sometimes your burger will be cooked the way you ordered, sometimes not. You never know what you'll get with the salads and pastas - sometimes there will be a... More

Here's a great place to relax and get good food and drink. Sometimes there is live music (weekends). We love the roasted red pepper soup and reubin sandwiches. Very good draft beer. Go for happy hour and get comfortable inside or outside on the porch. Folks are so friendly here.

My husband and I visit Blackwater Bistro at least once every couple of months and have dined there a few dozen times, partly due to the convenient location, but mostly due to the great food. I have eaten half of the things on their very extensive menu and highly recommend the coconut shrimp, chicken cordon bleu, and whatever they offer... More

The Blackwater Bistro is located in an old renovated house in downtown Milton behind the courthouse. The place has a lot of charm but overlooks a make shift grass field parking area and is not very close to the river that it is named after. The food is not bad, but nothing special. The prices are higher than normal for... More

Great food. The menu has a wide variety of choices. Service was good. The building is historical and unique with an inviting ambience. Wish we were in town longer to visit again.

While visiting friends in Milton, we made a return visit to Blackwater Bistro. We were seated promptly on this Saturday night, but the restaurant became more crowded later. Our server was pleasant and attentive to our needs. My husband enjoyed the lobster ravioli with salad - $21.99. My friend and I shared the Atlantic Salmon with sweet mango salsa -... More

Good food, good service and a great place to spend time. Eat in or on the porch. Near the river so you can have a nice walk after.

Food was expensive and not that impressed. Waiter was very friendly, online menu was completely "off", as prices and food choices were different when we got there.

recipient of the Best Restaurant Milton and Outstanding Business of the Year: Mainstreet Florida awards. It is owned and operated by a Navy Lt. Commander. The food is creative with a fantastic appetizer Artichoke Cheesecake and their entrees are great. One of my favorites is the Chef's Choice pizza with things like carmelized onions, roasted red bell pepper, goat's cheese, portobello mushrooms, etc. and delicious cheese on top. They have a simple wine there called Chocolate Box that is really interesting because of it's slight chocolate aroma, but is not expensive.
