This unusual "boat" is a restaurant with a music venue under gorgeous trees with a small shop of memorabilia built around the venue . It is a one of a kind atmosphere that is adjacent to Solomons castle where tourists waiting for admission to the castle have a snack and enjoy entertainment. There is nothing to compare it to so... I had difficulty ordering due to my soy allergy. Finally ordered a chef salad with olive oil and vinegar. Those in my party loved the lunch choices they made. Waited a long time for service, but once the order was taken, drinks and food came out relatively quickly. Did have to ask another waitress to refill beverages. Portions sizes are... More

While waiting an hour to an hour and a half for our tour of the "castle" to start we enjoyed a delicious meal at the Boat in the Moat. Barbecue ribs were great, a delicious taco salad, and I highly recommend the spinach casserole. My only disappointment is that we were too full to try the walnut pie which looked... More

After touring Solomon's Castle we lunched at its adjacent restaurant Boat in the Moat. All food is homemade on premises and is delicious! I loved the meat loaf...everyone at our table enjoyed their meals too. Service is efficient and friendly. Save room for dessert...I ate too much so couldn't try the various sweet endings.

Good food, large portions that you could actually share, reasonable prices. Make sure to leave room for pie.

Interesting but over priced. The site says$12.50 but when u get there it goes to$18.50 if you want to see the old cars but not worth it. They only deal in cash for everything which is wrong. Not very organized in the beginning but got better. Make sure you take enough cash. They have a ATM if you don't mine paying... More

Wonderful visit! Arrived at Solomon's Castle about 1pm on a Tuesday. There was an hour wait for the tour, which was great because we were hungry. We walked over to the Boat in the Moat restaurant. Beautiful outside seating. Inside is also available. We split the Lasagna plate hoping to leave room for the homemade desert but after lasagna we... More

With no CASH ONLY signs, or notification from our servers, our group only learned of the new No Credit Cards policy after waiting in a long line at checkout. Those embarrassed by not having enough cash had to get out of line, go to an ATM machine, pay a processing fee, and get back in line again. I have been... More
