Went for a business lunch. Love their chips and salsa. Had the fish tacos for the first time and they were very good.

The Mexican food is good, not special. Their longevity speaks well for their consistent quality. They have table-side music on Friday nights (at least) and it is enjoyable. The chips and salsa are world class, and the meals are truly good.

Carmelita's has three restaurants. The food is delightful and is very inexpensive. Their salsa is mild and goes with the free chips that come to your table when you first sit down.

My family enjoyed this restaurant. The salsa is was good. We had two different kinds of chicken enchiladas the salsa Verde and the sour cream both were delicious. Our daughter had a beef taco and rice and liked it as well. We will be back.

We saw their ad in Florida magazine and thought we would try it with our family of five. This was not authentic Mexican food. No flavor at all. Out of 5 entrees ordered, none were good and over half of food left on table. Server was nice but very slow. Fajitas tasted smokey and had no true fajita flovor. Meal for... More

My wife and I have been twice: once on a random afternoon and the service was a bit on the slower side. The other time was on cinco de mayo and boy was it good! Great atmosphere, great food, wonderful service!

My husband and I were visiting and this was recommended by our friends. We enjoyed the food, it was very well prepared and the atmosphere was nice. Just a simple, local restaurant with good food. The portions were good size and the price was right.

I was in the mood for great Mexican food however, I wanted something on the menu like combo platers to sample the good stuff! I got it, yummy! BTW, you gotta try the Sangria, that was the perfect start! No complaints! Great food, great prices!

While this is not fine dining, it has really great Mexican food at decent prices. Service is OK, but never had a server here who was so good I wanted to tip 20%. I especially love the "California", a shredded beef enchilada that comes with a tasty salad with a dressing packet that is really good too. Chips & Salsa... More
