Went in on a Friday night, with no expectations. The band was so very good. The shepherd's pie was delish. Great wait staff. Very fun people watching.

This Irish place has got it all to satisfy you tastebuds. We visited this place twice in our stat of two days. They have a very happening ambience and sometimes they even have live music nights. If you ever happen to be here, you must definitely have the Fish n Chips. Other things I would like to suggest are Tandoori... More

I'll tell you why I love this place. This how things are done correctly overseas. This pub or tavern, however you see fit to call it is great. All orders go through the bar. They find you where you are with the order. It's true to the country! Beer selection is impeccable , service is great, and they get busy.... More

I have been hearing about this place for months, and finally got to go. We lived in Ireland for 10 years, and this pub deserves to be called a 'Irish Pub'.! The fish n chips are the best, and Icelandic cod, huge servings perfectly cooked. Great Guinness pulled by the pint, in Guinness glasses. Great live music, Martin Dillon when... More

We sat at the bar late on Sunday evening and wanted a couple Irish beers and a snack. We ordered the fish and chips and they got the food to us quickly and it tasted great! Get the bread pudding because it is amazing! We will certainly return here again! Yummy and great service at the bar!

Stopped in after dinner for a drink and to check it out (sort of our thing when traveling to check out the Irish bars). Loved the wine, which was a California Central Coast red. Husband loved the beer. Bartender friendly and personable. We wish we could have come back for dinner because the food looked amazing. Next time!

Having read the reviews we just had to try this Irish pub for lunch. The staff are all very friendly. We had a drink while selecting from the menu. Their fish fry is outstanding and reasonable. I'm not a cod lover but I love their fish. Homemade soda bread, colcannon, Guiness Stew, great selection of Irish, GB beers and ales. Chicken Briton is highly recommended.

Description
FAILTE! [WELCOME!]

The Celtic Ray Public House in downtown Punta Gorda opened in 1997 by Proprietor Kevin Doyle. At the time there wasn’t a single establishment in the area that offered a variety of quality imported beers and the atmosphere of a traditional Irish Pub. We serve only high-quality imported draught beers, bottled beers, ciders, fine wines, as well as, a selection of “soft” beverages. We also have expanded with the ‘other side’ and now have a full liquor bar! Our menu features traditional Irish Pub favorites made from fresh ingredients and family recipes.

The Celtic Ray’s Fish & Chips are famous worldwide!
See you at the Ray, Slainte!
