and add better food than you would expect. Also add in town parking, very important. Sort of small inside, which makes for an intimate expeirience with other diners. Their french fries are yummy

When we asked where we might find a good British or Irish pub, we were pointed to the Barley Republic Public House. Typical Irish pub fare - good food, great beer. We were happy with this pub. The service was very good as well.

After exploring the shops and streets of St. Augustine it had started to rain mid-day and the streets began to empty and the shops started to close. Irish food is always comforting and we've never gone wrong with an Irish pub so we made our way to Barley Republic. We were not disappointed! Our waiter, Doug, was quick to get... More

Found this pub while strolling around the historic district. Went in for a quick bite to eat and a Guinness. The food was much better than I expected- as was the Guinness . I sat outside and enjoyed the passing late evening walkers. The prices were reasonable and the service was good.

We went for Happy Hour, we were happy. All their draft beers are included in happy hour. Oysters on the half shell-Excellent. Their fried pickles are to die for. Service from Ashley was outstanding. Highly recommend going for Happy Hour

So, around 530pm we decide to head over to st.augustine from Orlando to grab a bite. I'm so glad we did because had we not been so spontaneous we would have missed out on the most delicious lamb burger ever! We strolled in around 930pm on a Sunday so it was very easy to get seating. It felt great outside... More

My husband and I took a last minute weekend trip to St. Augustine. We arrived late and decided to walk around to find a place to grab a drink and some food. We randomly stumbled upon Barley Republic and decided to give it a try. Their menu looked amazing. All traditional Irish/Pub fare, and some great appetizers, with mouth-watering descriptions.... Great place to relax, have a few drinks, and some good food. This place just confirms my belief that most of the best places to eat are not on St. George street. Opens around 2pm, but doesn't close til late. Has nice selections of beers/ales/ciders. Nice menu including smaller plates, wings, burgers, sandwiches, soup, salads, and main entrees. You will... This is a very off the walked path. I think I walked pasted it over 50 times before I seen it ! It looks like a house. Which is very crazy! Meeting friends or pirates there is awesome. If you don't want to sit inside you can sit out on the side or front decks. Walk slow so you don't... More

Now the title may turn off some people looking for authentic British cuisine, but then again it may offer some appeal to those who can't get away from your typical American Grill. I tried a few of the appetizers and had a cheeseburger as my entree. The food was cooked perfect and had good flavor. The beer selection was broad... More
