Been to the island a number of times without stopping at the Sandbar. What a mistake. Made sure the last few times to dine there. Excellent excellent food. One of the best in the island. A little expensive but worth it.

Best Crab Bisque and best Scallops I have ever had. Outstanding!! Service was top notch, very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere. Been there a couple time and definitely going back!!

We arrived this year in the middle of a thunderstorm - so their smallish parking lot was a bit hectic. Greeting and service were excellent. The 4 of us thought that all of our appetizers, seafood entrees and desserts were very well prepared and tasty.

Only restaurant we visited twice during our week on Sanibel. I had the full rack of ribs both times because they were meaty, tender, and great. Wife had swordfish once, and Cilean Sea Bass once, both were 'melt in your mouth'.
Stopped here with my wife after a day hiking in Ding Darling. Didn't have reservations but they offered us the bar or a low table by the door that they don't reserve. It was fine. Had grouper which wa delicious. Server was excellent. Very attentive...More
