We LOVE this restaurant. We like the food, the appetizers, the ambiance, the friendliness of the wait staff and the prices. It is a "must stop" for us whenever we are on the island. Since we normally ride our bikes to Doc Ford's we have gone mostly for lunch or for an afternoon delight. They have recently moved accross from... More

Can't say enough about this place. One member of our party has several food allergies and in order to accommodate, the chef personally came to our table to ensure that the methods he used would be okay. Wow! In addition everyone's food was excellent. We even splurged and had the key lime pie (excellent)!

Made it in after the move to the new location. The restaurant looks great. The food was very good and the staff very attentive. We had a large group and they handled our orders without a hitch.

Early eaters are rewarded with less crowds. Great atmosphere and very good staff on hand who are knowledgeable about the menu. Great Lobster Roll and flavorful dishes to choose from. As the dinner hour approaches it does get very busy and loud. A Late Lunch maybe a better option for those who don't like to drive a night. Sanibel doesn't... More

This was our first experience with this local chain but found it quite unique. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming. There was a bit of a wait for dinner but found solace at the "Rum Bar." Once seated, our server was friendly with a good knowledge of the libations & menu. We both had drinks, apys, local fish but passed... More

Visited at lunch and it was not too crowded. Waiter was pleasant but service was slow. I wasn't particularly crazy about the peel and eat, although the shrimp were good size. It lacked flavor...but then I like them steamed and eat. Salad was okay. Husband liked chowder. Probably better choices or maybe it was an off day.

We visited doc ford's tonight but it was a very disappointed visit. The setting of the bar&grille is nice. We had the appetizers clamp chowder, which was very good and the ahi tuna which was too cold and too many flavours. But that wasn't the worst. Half way the appetizers, the entree was already served. Okay, can happen, but we... More

The restaurant was very packed, but we were seated in a timely manner. There was a nice aquarium feature and the food was okay. A bit crowded but I guess it is season. May come back.

The reviews said this large restaurant/pub had good food and good service. They are correct. Each and every item was bought to or table looking terrific and prepared just right. The margaritas and planters punches were excellent. The shrimp boil was so so good. Their specialty fish sandwich was out of this world as were the fries served with it.... More
