This place is good! The Yucatan shrimp is to die for. The seared tuna appetizer was really good. The service was a little lacking- I don't like having to ask for water 3 times.

We had the best salads-Southwest chicken & Taco chicken with possibly the best server, Peter. Can't wait to go back.

Customer service was excellent, Jim & James wonderful! Very attentive & great interaction with us. Brenda waited on us for dinner, excellent service & again great food. They have a beautiful salt water fish tank, the hostess was very informative about the fish, coral & sponges

The new location of this place is wonderful. If you don't have a large party to make a reservation, expect to wait an hour or so. The ribeye they have on the menu is consistently good. You'll enjoy this place. Pull the menu up online to check out $.

I had the Mahi Mahi and absolutely loved it. It was so fresh and had an almost different taste/texture than most Mahi I get (in a good way). The "salad" made from cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc was absolutely delicious and that is coming from someone who doesn't like broccoli and cauliflower. I honestly didn't want to stop eating it even... More

We always go to Doc Ford's for our first and then last meal in Sanibel. After many years, this is still our favorite restaurant on the island. The Grouper sandwich is the best in the area, and the shrimp and grits is my husband's favorite. The new location is much larger, though with multiple rooms, it seems much more intimate.... More

Ribs awesome, fish very nice, clam chowder terrible. Where on earth did a nice restaurant with waiting lines out the door get the idea that chowder must be served as thick as glop? Literally a gelantinous mess that would never fall off a spoon, the flavor was straight out of a food service company box - not homemade. Huge disappointment... More

We were excited to go to this new location and it was very nice and clean and inviting. We had the Roasted Half-Chicken with a Cuban Chimichurri Sauce and it was absolutely delicious! We will return to eat that again the next time we are on Sanibel.

Doc Ford's doesn't take reservations for groups less than 8. The restaurant does allow you, however, to call in 15 minutes before you plan to arrive and they will then add your name to list for table. It definitely saved us waiting time on a busy mid-week dinner. This was our first visit at the new location. Definitely more seating... More

The menu was great for sea food lovers. I had the lobster Roll very good. Good place to relax and have a good meal.
