My daughter came to visit and we were thinking about lunch ! Where to go ? We decided the Old Salty Dog ! It was a great choice. We were led to a table on the patio overlooking the marina and the beautiful water! It was breezy and relaxing. We shared a delicious Caesar salad and tasty hamburger! Both were... More

We sat outside on the patio with great weather. Our server was friendly and helpful in picking out a local craft beer. The food is quality seafood in classic Florida styles, served in a casual way (plastic baskets). We went on Friday midday, just before noon and were seated right away but shortly after noon we noticed a line out... More

Hubby and I stopped here on our trip to the Gulf Coast. We were able to eat at a table with a water view next to the marina. Fun to watch the activities at the marina. Our waitress Taylor was spot on. Food was delicious as was the margarita.

Love the Salty Dog original hotdog. Beer-battered and fried to perfection. Really gives a new twist to an old dog. Relaxing surroundings, we enjoy sitting outside where you can watch the boats go by. On our rotation of places to go whenever we are in the area .

I have been going to the Old Salty Dog each year I visit Florida. I visited the restaurant twice this time around, and was disappointed both times. (I thought I'd give it a second chance.) The first time, the po'boy of shrimp and oysters left a lot to be desired. Not many on the plate, and way, way overcooked. The... More

Description
Serving Sarasota for Over 25 years! The Old Salty Dog first opened its door for business in Siesta Key Village back on November 1st 1986. The owners original concept was to take a small popular village beer and hot dog stand and turn it into a casual Restaurant and Pub. They have mixed the best of the Florida Keys and their British heritage to create a fun family environment that is appealing to people from all walks of life. There are now 2 locations and they are patronized not only by their many regular local customers and characters but they also enjoy abundant new and repeat business from all over the United States and from around the World.
