We surprised our friend for her birthday by driving to Port St. Lucie to see her. My husband took us to the Riverwalk & Oyster Bar restaurant. The establishment was smaller than depicted by the photos. Our server was friendly and efficient. We all chose the soup du jour which reminded one of chicken pot pie. It was tasty and creamy. My husband chose the fish of the day salad. The fish was expertly cook, fish was succulent but to me was somewhat bland. I have to admit that I am not a fan of mahi mahi. Our friend chose the bang bang shrimp taco and was quite pleased with it. I chose the Kobe hamburger with swiss cheese. It came with sweet potato chips which were overcooked and old. The coleslaw was the highlight of my meal.

An early Sunday supper in a tent overlooking the St Lucie River. What's not to like other than it was a bit hot and humid. But Covid had us sitting outdoors and it was just fine. I asked our waitress about the soup of the day... I mentioned that we were at an Oyster Bar and Oyster Stew was not on the menu. She said she would ask the Chef. Good thing for me. The Oyster Stew here is tremendous. One of the best that I have had anywhere in the Country. No really, it's true. It's not cheap, but if you are not afraid to spend money for something truly memorable, then order yourself a bowl. My wife and I both ordered the duck in a peach sauce. Not enough sauce for my wife and I, but that's probably because it was so good. The duck was nonetheless one of the best that we have had in over a decade. The asparagus were cooked to perfection as were the mashed potatoes. The duck was crispy, not overdone, and perfectly seasoned Our friends had the salmon and pork chops. Both cleaned their plates. The salmon looked particularly yummy. All in all, the Oyster Bar was an unexpected culinary oasis delight.

Exploring Stuart for the first time we really didn’t have time to search for restaurants and read their reviews. However, we walked the area first to see what it had to offer and this restaurant caught our eye for the oysters. We walked in and were surprised at how small the establishment is. It seems to be a popular place as it was full. Luckily for us there was room at the bar, where we sat for drinks and appetizers. The decor is beautiful and simple, very European bistro. The ambiance is quaint and welcoming. Our bartender was attentive and very sweet. We started with drinks, and she let me taste the Rosé wines before making a decision, although they only carry 2 Rosé wines by the glass, and no sparkling Rosé by the glass, which would have been my choice with oysters. They had Chimay Beer on tap, not a common beer to find on tap. They serve it in a cool Chimay glass. They list the oyster selection for the day on mirrors on the wall. We selected the PEI and they came served the right way: on ice and with mignonette. Then we ordered the salad of the day: burrata and tomatoes. The complimentary bread was well made and crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. The prices are medium range, according to the quality of the food and the type of establishment. We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant!

Sooo nice to be able to go back to a restaurant after lockdown. We didn't have a reservation (I recommend you do call ahead as seating is limited) but they accommodated us pretty quickly and we were lucky to get a seat outdoors right along the water. Fresh air and good food. What could be better? We were given a recently cleaned menu (had that scent of sanitizer) and tables were pretty well spaced. Lots of great options made the choice difficult but we settled on two seafood dishes and a nice appetizer. All were very good and the service was also great (especially since our waitress had to hoof in and out of the restaurant to serve us). Again, great to be seated and served again: well done Riverwalk.

Believe all the great reviews you’ve read (or will read). First class all the way, certainly including the freshly baked rolls and the fiocchi appetizer (not to be missed). We aren’t big oyster fans but everyone around us was enjoying them big time. Our waitress was attentive and professional as well. The grilled octopus was very nicely done and the scallops served with manchego grits were to die for (who knew grits could be so tasty?). It’s very likely this will be a 2nd visit restaurant on this trip. Very good.

Small restaurant so be sure to make reservations. Although small, it was not loud. Beer and wine only. Sat at the bar for a drink before dinner. Bartender, Jessica, was friendly and knowledgeable. Hostess was pleasant and accommodating. Our server Dana was great. She described the dishes in detail and spent time discussing different options. She also offered us a tasting of several wines as we weren't sure what we wanted. We ended up with a great choice, and it was toward the bottom of the price list. Always a plus. The oyster selections were enjoyed by my husband. Very fresh, sweet and flavorful. And not over priced. The squash blossoms were super yummy, stuffed perfectly and not greasy. The special fiocchi pasta was amazing. The black grouper and the wahoo dishes were prepared wonderfully and simply delicious, even the accompanying sides were fantastic. Would love to return often but sadly we live three hours away. If we find ourselves in the area, we will certainly return.

My wife and I reviewed Trip Advisor and decided to come here for lunch during our week down here. Our server, Mel, was wonderful. The wine list is very good also. We had Oysters Rockefeller as an app and it was superb. I had a cup of shrimp/clam chowder which was phenomenal, full of shrimp and clams. My wife had fried oysters and I had the grilled Mahi fish sandwich which was really good. The sweet potato waffle fries were good also. We would certainly return and possibly this week.

We were a table of 12 and a little tight for the 4 of us that got there later than the others. Our service was impeccable. There were a lot of ice tea drinks. Their glasses were always full. The Beef & Tuna Carpaccio was paper thin, very good olive, micro greens. Delicious!! The Veal Piccata was perfectly cooked with a wonderfully smooth lemon sauce. Rack of Lamb came with 4 bones but they were meaty. Ordered medium rare and was cooked as ordered. They cut like butter!! Oh so good. Duck with BlackBerry sauce was awesome. I wasn't that excited about the sauce at first. Once I tasted the duck and sauce OMG. I can honestly without a doubt say there was not one complaint from the entire table of 12. Even our pickiest eater was pleasantly happy!!!

My party of 10 met for a wonderful lunch to celebrate my retirement. From the time I contacted the restaurant until our final moments were ones of professionalism and great hospitality. Tiffany was so helpful in assuring me things would be fine (I made the reservation from out of state and not knowing anything about the place). Everyone in our party loved the food, which was fresh and beautifully presented. There were salads, salmons, tunas, shrimps, etc. Desserts were out of this world —we ordered one of everything and each was better than the last. If you are ever in Port St. Lucie, I can’t recommend this place enough.

So this place, this day, was PERFECT. We were on our way to see a Taj Mahal concert at Lyric Theatre and I wanted to eat at the best place according to Trip Advisor. They aren't always right, but today they sure were! Chelsea was a SUPER helpful, chill server; we stumbled into her on her way to work. "Do you know where Riverwalk is"? "Yup, I'm going to work there, follow me! We started with Mussels, which were for sure the most perfectly cooked (zero chewiness) mussels I ever had. I've had better tasting ones (usually spicey thai), but this was like a minimalist-taste-the-meat approach, which was dynamite. My wife had the Collosal Shrimp Francais. She eats like a bird, so I had almost half of it. Might have been the best shrimp dinner I ever had. 12 out of 10. I ordered a daily (weekly?) special Red Snapper, which had either a thai or asian marinade, served with Jasmine Rice and Asian veggies. Again, the best cooked Snapper I ever had. 11 out of 10. Paired it with a nice local beer I can't remember, and it was just a dream visit. Been at least a year since I ate this well outside of my house. Yep; braggart hobby chef. BUT, I only give perfect TA scores for food prepared as good as I can do, or better. THIS visit kicked my braggart ass. Thanks SO much to the Chef and Chelsea. Visiting from Canada; hope to return some day <3 Oh, and Taj was sensational too, and we met him outside the Theatre when we arrived in Stuart; parked in front of Lyric and there he was!

Excellent local restaurant. Food and service fantastic! We live in Delray Beach and decided to check out the Stuart area again. We went in last night and ate at the bar. We chose several dishes and shared. The pan seared oysters, pan seared scallops were excellent as was the special baked oysters. In addition, the wine selections were very nice too. Thank you Riverwalk, we will be back and bring our friends! Cheers!

Had high expectation from all the reviews and “as seen on” ads on website. Tuna carpaccio was fresh and tasty, but main dish was disappointing as jasmine rice was clearly undercooked and sea bass was ok. Husband dish was waaaay better (scallops and cheese grits). If you are worried about Covid 19 note that there’s zero social distancing happening in this place. The bar counter was crowded to an uncomfortable level. Wine and beer only. Server was very nice and attentive.

When I can find no fault in a restaurant it is significant. Afterall, I have eaten at thousands of restaurants in my 63+ years. From the time we sat down to the moment we left we felt very well taken care. Our waiter John could not have done anything any better; explained dishes but didn't steer us in any one direction, was attentive but not overly-so. The collaborative efforts of the entire staff when delivering food also added to the realization that the owners know how to run a restaurant. Only downside was they had no propane for their heater; they mentioned they hadn't gotten their delivery-- I would have run over to Home Depot myself since the past few nights have been chilly.

The food and service was excellent. Reasonably priced for this type of restaurant. I prefer restaurants with table cloths as I can use my napkin on my lap.I am not sure if they take reservations but I would recommend eating off hours or Monday – Wednesday as the restaurant is more crowded towards the end of the week.

We were visiting the 32 annual Art fest in Stuart and decided to grab a light lunch. We strolled down to the Riverwalk Cafe and Oyter bar. Thinking it was a tiny burger and fries cafe, we thought this would be a perfect light lunch restaurant. We were already thinking a BLT and fries then we would stroll down the boardwalk. To our surprise, it was Totally not a burger Cafe, but it was not a waste of time. Our waiter John arrived within minutes of us being seated, offering to get our drinks, we ask advice on the food there and what he would suggest. We had the Fiocchi pasta as an appetizer and the lightly toasted chicken salad sandwich that we shared. John and his food suggestions were on point. We will definitely visit this place again for their dinner menu, which is totally different than the lunch. We ate inside, but they also have outside dinning.
