Delicious cafe con leche, cuban sandwiches + guava pastries! Great value. Authentic... most all employees only speak Spanish. Huge dessert selection. Worth the trip. Yum!!

Oh my... I am a huge fan of their guava pastries (pastelillos/pastelitos)! My husband has been buying them for me on the days that I go to my chemotherapy infusions. He knows what I like, and these are exactly like the ones I used to get at a bakery called Gilbert's in Miami. These guava delights are the real deal!... More

People drive from Sarasota in the south to Lakeland in the east to come to buy their baked goods at La Florida Bakery. From palmeras to tortas to croquettas, this place has it all. Cuban bread to birthday cakes, I have never been disappointed with a purchase here. They do have a walk-up counter where you can get sandwiches and... More

I had the worst experience ever. I was visiting my son and he took me there to eat some bakery pastry. Well, we have been treating so bad, she was so rude and stupid, rolling her eyes with impatience while we were trying to decide what to eat. I regretted to even her actitud spend $3.50 in 2 guava pastry.... More

I came on a Saturday morning - it's within walking distance of the airport hotels. About 30-40 customers were sitting at the window bar, standing with their coffee, or ordering. At least 7 employees were behind the counter serving customers. I chose a chocolate covered neopolitan, a sweet cake drenched in simple syrup, and a meat empanada. All were delicious... More

We had some time to kill so we stopped by this bakery featuring lots of Cuban pastries as well and heartier fare like sandwiches. While I'm no expert on pastelitos de guayaba (puff pastry filled with guava), these were delicious. $.85 per pastry. The donuts were great too, and the chorizo was pretty good. Food aside, the atmosphere is bustling... More

$16 for 1 tiny pastelillo de guayaba, 1 cuban, 1 bag of tiny churros and 3 tornillos??? YIKES! Their prices are ridiculous now. The cuban didn't even have real meat in there. It was nothing but ham. Oh and let's not even talk about the size of the pastelillo. Half the size of what they used to be. I couldn't... More

I love to come here each time I come to Tampa! They make Eclairs with Carmel on top! I love their Cream Cheese Danish, and Meat pastries. They make cakes and they look wonderful. I did notice the sign that say: We are not responsible for the cakes once they leave the door" I would ask what that means. If... More

Your typical Cuban bakery on Columbus Ave. (Boliche Blvd.) in West Tampa. For an authentic Cuban sandwich get it pressed without lettuce nor tomatoes, otherwise it would be a ham and cheese hero sandwich. (You wouldn't put lettuce and tomato on a Reuben sandwich) Try the guava and meat pies. This bakery has been here for decades,
