We were referred to this restaurant by my girlfriend's daughter. We were able to eat on the patio above the restaurant which was a very pleasant experience. The menu features locally grown and produced products. The menu items feature some interesting variations on the traditional hamburger and the salad accompaniment was excellent. I was a little disappointed when I asked... More

Beautiful architecture in this quaint little restaurant. Must try the Refined burger with peanut butter, fluff, and potato sticks-it is he perfect combination of salty, sweet, and crunchy. House made peanut butter was wonderful!

Ok, I picked The Refinery because we were in the area, the traffic was crazy, and we needed a place to wait out the Buccaneer's after game traffic. It took a long time to get our meal but only because of the wait on the chicken. The pork shoulder, chicken and both burgers were amazing. Be aware, they don't overcook... More

We decided to try this place one weekend. Parking is kind of strange if you haven't been before. From what I could tell all they have is a little parking lot behind the restaurant. They could use some lighting out there also. We didn't have a reservation and were seated quickly. It really wasn't busy for a Friday night. The... More

There is a rebirth of the Seminole Heights area of Tampa. Several new restaurants, bars, brew pubs, etc...There are many good options in this area, unfortunately, The Refinery does not make it into my top list of "must visit" places in Tampa. There is nothing wrong with the restaurant...it just didn't offer any one attribute to make it exceptional. The... More

I've been to The Refinery three or four times now, and have never been disappointed. I've always gone to the second story deck, which I enjoy. The food is creative, and delicious. There are a lot of beers to choose from, and it's fun to try something new. I've always visited with one or two other people, so I don't... More

This Seminole Heights restaurant is a cute little establishment in a sparse but somewhat cozy farm-style setting. The menu is quite interesting. We enjoyed the shrimp appetizer served alongside a bed of lettuces and a julienne of pear. As a main course I had the very tasty cobia special. The chef is quite adventurous and way more gutsy than I... More

My husband and I ordered the Sunday Supper which was ropa vieja with rice and beans (different entree every Sunday). Flavors were amazing. We sat at the bar upstairs. They also have outdoor seating up there, but in September it's still too warm in Florida to sit outside without sweating. They have an excellent beer selection, too.

We went here on a fluke, not knowing anything and wow, what a surprise. Lindsey our waiter was outstanding. Informative, engaging and certainly knows a lot about the "foodie industry" in Tampa. This is a refurbished house, upstairs is a patio deck and bar. Downstairs, that is all there is for seating. Normal meal times a reservation is a MUST.... More

The restaurant was a suggestion from our business guest. It was our first visit and the actual meal got mixed approval. Daily the menu is changed, so each visit you should expect something different. Personally, my selection was due to my decision to pick a vegetarian dish. It was tasty, colorful, and plenty to fulfill my hunger. Overall, I thought... More
