Chose this place based on its ranking and the photos of the food. We walked here from the Tampa Waterside Marriot because I didn't want to pay for their breakfast. Walk here was nice. Coffee was great, and breakfast was just as ordered. We were greeted promptly by who I assumed to be the owner. Server was friendly. Would go... More

Stopped by because of the good reviews. We were the only people in the restaurant around 9:30 AM. Had the California Benedict, not on menu, was OK, food not as hot as I like it. Son had Eggs Benedict. Home fries really good. Would stop by again for breakfast or lunch. Service friendly, efficient. Convenient place to eat when you... More

Every time I am in Tampa I make it a goal to stop in Samaria Cafe. I've had both lunch and dinner here, and both were fantastic. The owner, a wonderful gentleman from Greece, makes it a point to stop and talk with his customers. As a matter of fact, the first time I met and spoke with him, I... More

Fantastic breakfast! My s.o. and I stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town. It was Amazing. We read a review of the California Eggs Benedict. It was cooked perfectly, albeit not on the menu. You'll just have to ask for it. Home fries were prefectly crispy and well seasoned. The best thing was the Chai latte. That... More

Stopped in since we were in the area. The servers were something out of a 70's tv sitcom (think "Alice"). We waited to be seated a few minutes because "Our busser doesn't get in till 10") and it was around 9:15. Then when we sat down, I mentioned to our server that I saw some specials written on the board... More

My wife and I recently travelled to Tampa. We stayed at the Downtown Hilton and explored for places to eat. One morning we came upon the Samaria and we were wonderfully surprised. The owner (?) greeted us at the door and our server was wonderful. We split the ham and cheese quiche which also had a muffin of choice and... More

My wife and I were famished when our taxi dropped us off at our hotel. We wanted to go someplace close and the hotel clerk suggested Samaria Cafe. We walked there and were promptly seated. I ordered a chicken salad wrap and my wife ordered the pressed Cuban. Both sandwiches were very good and the fries and cole slaw were... More

We had 2 wonderful breakfasts at Samaria. This is a family owned casual restaurant that is very friendly. We just happened on it for breakfast Saturday morning and returned Sunday. It is an excellent value and the portions are tremendous. We both ordered omelettes which had so much veggies and meat that we could not finish them. We would certainly... More

My wife and I were in Tampa for a couple of days and were really fortunate to find this place as there aren't too many (reasonably priced) sit down style restaurants open for breakfast in the downtown business district area. Service was fast and friendly. Our waitress was super helpful in giving us directions to different parts of the city.... More
