Great place to dine before a show at the Straz. A little pricey (about $50 per person) but easy access to theater. Salad bar, which is so much more than salad, is superb. 6 entrees to choose from, plated beautifully. Reasonably good, sometimes not hot enough, but portions are generous. Dessert is included and very decadent! Overall, I opt to... More

Excellent location for dinner before the show. Very good salad bar and soup station. The entrees differ with each show. We went to see the Jersey Boys and I had short ribs and my wife had the salmon. Short ribs were terrific. My wife found the salmon to be a bit bland. Excellent service and a very nice venue, however... More

12.00 a drink, 50.00 chicken dinner??? no prices on the menu???? 4 entree's only on the menu. Go someplace else and save your money, they fry your wallet at this place. You are lucky if you get out of there with a bill under $150.00 for two people.

We have dined at Maestro's as well as their "cafe" located inside the Straz. The one inside the Theater is a buffet. It has nice salad and dessert tables and always a hot carving station. Sometimes they will even try to adapt their menu to the performance that is being held. For instance, during The Lion King the menu featured... More

Dinner party of four, with the required reservations in hand. Maestro's is a buffet only operation, with price points being the salad bar/dessert or salad bar/entree/dessert. Standard non-alcohol drinks are part of the buffet price. It's a buffet - and that should be your expectation. For this price point, I would expect a significant variety of choices for the three... Maestro's food is decent, but not excellent. My grouper was quite good, but my wife's pork wellington was pretty bland. At $45 per person, by the time you get a low priced wine, with tax and tip you're looking at $150. For that I can eat at the premiere Tampa restaurants.

The pre fixe dinner is very good. The appetizers and soups were excellent . The entrees were very good , including the short ribs and the fish specials.. Dessert is excellent.. Price is a little high but you can get your monies worth.

When waiting for the play to start, dining on the river at Maestro's by the river is a wonderful experience. Beautiful view of the Hillsborough River and river walk of downtown Tampa. Food is good too!

Went to show at the Straz, and were anticipating a "fine" dinner at Maestro's. Though it was not bad, we were somewhat disappointed. First, the service was excellent, but that's where it ends. The menu is extremely limited. There were three of us, all had a different item, and all dinners were average at best, as was the salad bar.... More
