I drive by here all of the time. I was not sure what I was expecting but they have seating inside. Maybe I was thinking it was a take away place, like a Bakery. It is bigger inside than it appeared outside. It appears older style interior, but clean. There were several people ahead of me, but they got thru... More

I have never had a bad meal here. The owners take great pride in their food. The portions are big and the prices are reasonable. If there is one item on the menu you should try it is the meatloaf sandwich. Not your momma's take on it. If I had to guess, he takes the bits of lunch meat and... More

Visited Bearss Sandwiches for the first time in quite a while. Ordered 2 Cuban sandwiches to go but they were big enough that they were shared by three. I brought them home, reheated them some more, although they had already been pressed. They were delicious. Glad I reconnected with this establishment. Will be back again soon.

Just moved back to Tampa after ten years. Missed a good Cuban sandwich!!! After reading the reviews and realizing this was in my neck of the woods, I decided to give it a try. Cute place, lots of locals, but easy to miss...in other words, Perfect! The Cuban was fantastic!!! Although, I don't remember Cuban sandwiches to include a slice... More

We ordered three different sandwiches and potato salad. For one thing, they were smaller than they use to be. The bread use to be big, round and fresh sliced. The Cubans use to be meatier than they are now. They hardly press them, like they are in a hurry. The meats and the bread don't taste fresh, more like processed.... More

A great little local sandwich shop. The Cuban was delicious, as was the Chicken Salad. Great service. Make sure to read the "Store Rules" on the counter, very funny.

Alas, Jerry, the always-joking co-owner of the shop passed away suddenly and unexpectedly recently. This has not damaged the quality of the sandwiches, which are still outstanding, especially the Cubans. The joking tradition has not disappeared either, with ongoing banter with the customers continuing. Always a good place for a quick joke and excellent sandwiches.

Well worth traveling north on Florida Ave. for. Have been buying Cubans there since 1985. The only sad note is that Jerry one of the owners passed recently.

I've been going here for years and they NEVER disappoint. Their sense of humor is just as great as their food. In most instances people make the establishment what it is, and in this place is a perfect example. Anyone who wants a great sandwich and a guaranteed laugh should go there.

I have been going here for years! Always get a Cuban and yummo! The owners are awesome! I think the guy that use to make the sandwiches was promoted to cashier lol ... He might have told one too many people off! True about the thick skin before ya go in!
