We went here per a friend's recommendation. I wonder if they were talking about the other location. 'Service' was abysmal (slow, slow, slow and we never saw our server after he dazzled us by writing his name with a crayon). The food was ok--the salmon special was good but took an hour to get to us (way way after our... More

Tucked away in a shopping center between a GNC store and a veterinarian, the bonus here is there is plenty of parking for this busy local restaurant. Service was great as was the fresh fish and seafood. Our table of 4 was very pleased with their selections -- fried Pollock and shrimp; fried grouper; fried shrimp and my dish of... More

Cedar Reef has been spotty in its first location down south of Venice and now at it's second location on the bi-pass close to Venice. We have had several good meals in the original location, and several very bad meals also. The new location is the previous location of Robbie's Reef, which has a new location just north of town.... This time the coupon was for a free glass of wine with dinner, and since that is the only time I do drink wine, I thought I would give this place another shot. Even though I got there early, the place was packed, but I got lucky to be seated right away. Stu was my waiter and he was marvelous!... More

We stoppped here by chance after the Venice Shark Tooth Festival. This small place was packed with mostly locals on a Friday night. We ordered Peel and Eat Shrimp serving of 12 ( the small ) V 24 ( the large ). They were a little bigger than quarter sized. Not bad for the price. We also had the Grouper... More

We have been here a few times. Every time was better than the last... This time I had the seafood lasagna. It was all homemade & absolutely delicious. We think this place is a hidden Jem in a crowded Publix shopping center. Definitely a destination place to keep in mind for a great dinner.

Hadn't seen my cousin in quite a while but since my family was close to his we met here for dinner. This is quite a delicious seafood place. Everything we had was great. The owner greeted us and we talked a bit as well as thanked him for his great food and service.

There are a couple of Cedar Reefs, the good one is over near Publix at the corner of Jacaranda and Rt 41, this one is not even similar and the food and energy in the room is nowhere as good as the other one. So my review here is to say, I'm sorry that 4167 Tamiami Trail was not up... More

Revisited this restaurant for my birthday with my girl friend. My last experience was excellent, but things sometime change over time or maybe because the the invasion of the snowbirds. We placed our order for our dinner which included our main course of fish and side salad. The salad was very tasty but it was very small. Our main course... More

Wanting to try this new restaurant, we arrived during the dining prime time of 7 pm. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, were finally seated and our waitress took our order. The noise level in this restaurant is almost deafening when full and the décor is definitely dated. My Pollack and my wife's salmon were good, but my... More
