Took my daughter, her fiance and my wife - two vegans, two carnivores. We ordered the sampler for 3 and added spicy rice. Having told the waitress there were the two vegans, she had the meat dishes plated, otherwise I suppose those items would have been all on the same tray as the vegetables. Still managed to take home leftovers... More

T'was my second visit to Bole and again I was delighted with the speed and friendliness of service along with the delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed my enormous veggie combo. It arrived at my table piping hot with cool injera on the side. I would love to give the restaurant 5-stars, but the restaurant inspection score is only 80%. I... More

You'll enjoy the wonderfully authentic cuisine combined with big portions for a reasonable price. The space is big and authentically decorated. There may be a bit of a language barrier between you and the staff, but the food is worth it!

The food was great. Loved the Shiro and Goman! On our first visit we experienced great vegetarian food (there are great meat options as well). We liked the green beans, cabbage with carrots dishes and Goman (greens in kibe ghee). We experienced a fantastic coffee service. The staff and owner made us feel so at home. They treated us like... For those interested in an Ethiopian cultural and cuisine experience, Bole may be your place. I ordered a vegetarian combo plate which was tasty but somewhat unrecognizable to the un-initiated. There was a bit of a communication issue so I never received a full explanation of what I was eating. However it was tasty very spicy and unique. During the... More

Came here with spouse and a friend. For beginners I always recommend the sampler plate, vegetarian or with meat. The sampler for one ($10) is enough for two to share, especially if you add a few Sambusas (like Indian Samosas). We ordered a veg sampler plate for one and spicy shrimp. It was enough for three. I LOVE their layered... More

Our 2nd visit to Bole. We had the honey wine, combination dinner (lamb and beef with all veggies) and light (not spicy) lamb tibs. Everything is delicious. Relaxed environment. We will be back!!

Bole is a delicious change from other cuisine. This was a wonderful change during the travel week. The food was fresh. The service was wonderful. It is one of those cherished finds! I will return when I am back in Atlanta!

We had never tried Ethiopian food before, and decided that Bole was going to change that for us. Bole was clearly a gathering point for people and we were immediately greeted and invited to pick a table. With the help of our waitress and a friendly customer who overheard our attempt to appropriately order, we ended up with lamb awaze... More

Virginia Avenue, for those who know the neighborhoods around the Atlanta Airport, is known for its low-end stores and fast-food restaurants. But should your travels take you to this part of Atlanta, you might consider stopping at Bole Ethiopian restaurant. The food is excellent and the value is outstanding. My wife and I both tried the vegetarian sampler and agreed... More
