A big surprise to us....we recommend the lunch chicken fajitas with mixed vegetables....very healthy and delicious! We actually order without the beans, rice and salad but ask for extra vegetables....broccoli, carrots, yellow and green squash, red and green peppers, onions with a mild seasoning that is so yummy...we eat there 2 -3 times a week.

Went there for a business luncheon, never having tried this place before, but reviews looked good and it was convenient for everyone. Our food servicer was very attentive and the food very tasty. I had the Shrimp and Grits, with the sauce on the side, and roasted vegetables. It was amazing and not the same old Mexican fare.. I wish... More

First off, to the lady who wrote that the place smelled like cockroaches.....how does one know what cockroaches smell like? I guess it takes one to know one, as the saying goes. I called before i placed my to-go order and asked if they had changed management. They had not, so I felt comfortable placing an order, expecting that it... More

I've eaten at Rio Balsas many times. It's hard to give an honest review if you've only been once or twice. I have tried the appetizers, and almost all the entrees. The Guacamole is AMAZING. Very Fresh ingredients! The tinga, skirt steak, and chicken burritos as so good! The Fish tacos pack a Big punch! Very good food. The restaurant... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Cumming. The food has ALWAYS been excellent and the Waitstaff has always been super helpful and patient. We have tried many of their entrees (all winners) and the Chicken Soup is always good for whatever ails you!

We visit Rio Balsas very often because the food is excellent. The vegetables are cooked el dente which makes my husband happy. The only thing that I do not like is the hard chairs.

Food pretty bland. I just had the veggie quesadilla. While it had cheese, broccoli, yellow and green squash, plus peppers. The guacamole on the side was pretty good. I just thought it was ok.

If your favorite "Mexican" dish is a burrito swimming in cheese and a generic red sauce, do not eat here. If you love "fajitas" that taste like salt and burned flesh, do not eat here. If your idea of a good taco is mushy beef and lettuce, do not eat here. If you like a variey of fresh dishes served... More
