Our first visit, short waiting time to get inside, pleasant servers, we ordered sirloin steak, medium well. Steak was size of plate, HUGE, but half was fat, under cooked too, raw.

We went with family and it was delicious. My husband had the enormous steak and I had the hamburger steak. They where both very delicious. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The only complaint is We ate to much.

The deer lodge is only open for dinner and there is always a wait. They also only take cash. Food is alway good and staff. The portion of the dinners are large and the steaks are Huge. It's a nice place to stop by.

Pretty mundane setting, out in the middle of nowhere. Does not accept credit cards, only cash and checks. Atmosphere is marginal, somewhat crowded seating. Waitress was very knowledgable about menu and availability of some items. Sirloin steaks were huge, fatty and tough, Fish was "skinny",...More

We got there early and only had to wait a few minutes to get seated. We were a party of 4 adults and 1 toddler. The service was fast and the steaks were all great, cooked the way we ordered. Our waitress was very pleasant.

It is not a "wine with dinner" kind of place. I have never seen any alcohol being consumed in the years that I have been going there. Very casual, lots of local folks. Like me....sweet tea drinkers! Have fun.
