The location is great, and the meat pies in the pastry bar to take home are impressive. I've only eaten here for breakfast, three times now, but each time, the entree tasted like, and felt like, it was a microwaved version of what could have tasted great if fresh. Not a rip off, but there are better options around.

For some reason I expected more, but was okay. I was at the park at city center, and decided to poke in to see what was up. I bough a meat pie, it was okay nothing overly special. Next time I'll try something else to perhaps appreciate this joint. Also, the ambience could be enhanced a bit, otherwise nice people!

Open for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served anytime. They stay open late for the music concerts in Marietta Square. We have been there several times. They have sandwiches and meat pies and lots of sweets. You can get a great sandwich with a side and a drink for about $10. For the side I like the salad. They bake... More

I came here with a group for lunch from work. I was pleased that in addition to their specialty meat pies, they also have salads if you are looking for a more low carb food option. Individuals at the table raved about the curry pies. Prices are great. They also had a selection of EU food items that are harder... More

Their Cranberry Walnut salad is a great value. Lots of toppings and can add chicken for a large entree salad at a very reasonable price.

Pie crust is good, I had a mince tart. It was not what I expected, it was like brownie mixed with mincemeat. Love them in the UK, so maybe this is the Aussie way.

Excellent food and cozy unique café. This was the first stop for us on a food tour around Marietta square. I don't eat fish, but tried the fish and chips as it was part of the food tour experience and found them to be wonderful. Completely recommend trying this spot out when you are on the "square" and looking for... More

Was turned on to this place by some friends who are from Australia. I went to Australia in 2000 and fell in love with meat pies. Fast forward about 10 years and I find out about this place. I come in and try their meat pies and they are exactly as I remembered them in Australia. I even buy some... More

My friends and I were in Marietta Square to go to the Saturday farmers market when we saw this bakery that we had heard about previously. We had to try it!! I got the sausage roll and the shepherds pie and both were very good they could've benefited from a little bit more moisture on for haps sauce to go... More
