A friend told us that this so called seafood restaurant was just as good as the restaurants on the gulf coast. My wife and I said let's try it. Well all I can say is that I would go to The red Lobster before I would go back to this place (and I don't like this restaurant). Ordered Grouper my... More

I had a crabcake and two sides with a drink. I can hardly taste the crab flavor in the crabcake – except for two bites. It was $16 for the crabcake – was on the appetizer menu. Besides were a good portion coming from the sides menu at four dollars aside. My friend ordered shrimp and A plate had six... More

My wife and I visited Hammocks while in Atlanta at a marriage conference. We had reservations at 6:30 pm, but arrived at 6 pm. We were shown to our seat promptly and given a menu. The food arrived quick and was pretty good. The service was kinda weird. Not bad, but weird. Most of the services Mrs had long hair... More

Great laid back atmosphere that gives you the beach joint feel here in the Atl. Food was great. Everyone ordered something different and it didn't disappoint. Great selection of southern sides. Staff was attentive the entire meal. Will be back!

They were given a lobster count a dat in advance, and they were ready for us. They even arranged ti have valet parking available, as... More

Although I have never had anything on the menu that hasn't been delicious, I find myself dreaming about Hammock's salmon baked in parchment with fennel and herbs....truly one of life's more sublime culinary experiences. Once again recently, my partner and I headed there, on a Saturday night, no less, and were amazed we could be seated right away. Once again,... More

Description
Hammocks Trading Company is the choice for high quality seafood in North Atlanta. Local owners Jason Sheetz and William Sigley pride themselves on great food, service, bar, and atmosphere. Together they have 50 years of restaurant experience at the best restaurants in Atlanta and Las Vegas. Hammocks combines our attention to detail with a casual neighborhood feel. Our most reviewed items include the BBQ Oysters and the Baked Salmon. Both were reviewed in the AJC and on Atlanta Eats. Our menu features cuisine from the southern coastal regions of the United States. Gumbo, Shrimp and Grits are just a few examples. Our fresh veggies include fried okra, fried green tomatoes, and collard greens. The grouper sandwich has become known as the best in town. Our other sandwiches include the Crispy Shrimp or Oyster Po-Boys, Lobster Roll, Smoked Chicken Salad and the Salmon BLTA. We are family friendly and have options for all ages. Every item from the kitchen is made from scratch.
