The place needs to be renovated but the breakfast is filling and hardy. Racks with sliw cook meat fills the air. Older and younger folks. Friendly and talkative waitresses. Like the diversity of the clientele.

Outstanding restaurant for breakfast! Something on the breakfast menu for all members of the family. Eggs and ham, grits, and jumbo biscuit, and all the coffee you need makes a great meal. Staff is very friendly and helpful explaining the menu. BBQ smells in the restaurant as they prepare for lunch and supper meals! So delicious! Very filling meals served.... More

About twice a year we stop in for breakfast, Never disapointed. Seems we always run into someone we know. Old Hickory House has been in my life for at least 50 years !

I have been eating here with my family for over two decades and the quality has never been anything but top notch. I've always gotten great food and service here.

Favorite with locals. Wood cooked smell and taste. Generous portions. When the waitresses recognize and know customers names, you know it's a place where locals go. If I can smell the meat cooking before I walk in, that's another good sign. In a city where restaurants come and go, this one has been here for forty years. Heavy wood decor... More

We haven't been to OHH in at least 10 years and I think our memories were better than this experience. The Brunswick stew with corn muffins was very good/excellent. The sliced pork sandwich was large but mostly due to the bread. The pork was average. Prices are very reasonable. Not sure if we would return as we were looking forward... More

Had a good breakfast. Agree that it wasn't "great" or "special", but the food was good and the service was excellent. I'd like to try the bbq someday. The grits were worth another visit for sure! Would recommend.

Ate breakfast with three other adult family members. Everything was fine. Nothing particularly bad or good.

Older restaurant that has been around a long time in an old shopping center...good southern food and we were pleased with our choices...good vegetables and old standby's...meatloaf, country fried steak. Selection of menu choices is good and a variety of vegetables, bbq, salads, sandwiches, etc.Busy at lunch! Also, serves breakfast and dinner.

Thank katork
