Must seat yourself and fix your own tea. Ordered gator tail ha ha ha when it was brought to us there was a like 6-8 mini popcorn shrimp size pieces--not an appetizer portion. Refused it for $11-you would would think you get enough to share. I was appalled. Steak portions was generous but they were not real tasty and required... More

Me, my husband and 6 friends rode our motorcycles 155 miles just to eat at Benton Lee's. What a waste of time and money. We travel and eat at a lot of great places, this is NOT one of them. We arrived, restaurant looked nice outside, went in, grabbed a menu and seated ourselves. Waitress finally decided to come and... More

Good steak, the sodas are $1 per can. I would suggest the sweat tea it's bottomless. It is also self serve so if you drink a lot of tea plan to make a lot of trips to the tea station. I had the ribeye it was delicious! Members of my group had the sirloin and said that it was chewy.... More

My husband and I are native Texans. Every once in a while we get a hankerin' for a big juicy steak, potato, and a nod to a vegetable. We had a beautiful Saturday and hadn't heard of Georgia's having a gasoline crisis yet, so we set our GPS and headed out on a 2-hour trip through Georgia back country to... More

This evening Freddie Knows Food decided to visit a long time favorite restaurant near my home, Benton Lee's Steakhouse, on the bank of the beautiful, majestic Altamaha River in rural southeast Georgia. Benton Lee's has been around for some many years, serving up steaks and other delicious lip smacking dishes. It is exactly what you might imagine it to be,... More

The steak had average flavor. The service and atmosphere was great. The salad out of a bag and the off brand condiments was a turn off. I liked the sliver trays they served the food on. The shrimp had no flavor and they were tiny.

Steak small. Salad was lettuce and carrot. Self service for your drinks. Owner said meat prices have gone up so steak size went down. Charge for onions. Would not substitute for French fries. Charged for water and I had to get it myself. Not worth the long trip to get there.

Don't waste your money. My husband and I had the worst t-bones in 2011 at this place. We went there on June 25th to celebrate a friend's birthday. The rib-eye was touted to be 14-16 ounces. It was tasteless....approximately 6 ounces of fat and 2 ounces of meat. The salad was nasty and poured out of a bag. The fried... More

My wife and I were headed to Jacksonville, Fl and decided to stop for lunch. When we arrived the parking lot was empty, 12:00 noon, but we figured we had driven this far might as well stop. We entered and there were 2 tables occupied in this very large beautiful space with Deer heads and fish and memorabilia on the... More

Big steak. Had sirloin 16oz fries drink for $18. Located on river in the middle of nowhere. You also get small salad. Drink is self serve. Steak had good seasoning and was cooked to order.
