It was as if the whole town came to dine at Cade's on Sun afternoon. Washington, Georgia only has a population of about 4,000.The restaurant was packed. The buffet offered some great dishes. I especially enjoyed the fried chicken and the peach cobbler. I would definitely return to this restaurant. There was definitely a friendly feel to the place.

We were happy to find that Cade's Home Cooking is still going strong in Washington. When we visited again last Saturday, the fried chicken was just as good as it was two years ago, and the other dishes were tasty, too. Had some especially good pork chops with gravy and some fine banana pudding and peach cobbler. Drinks are included... More

We got there a little late for lunch, but the buffet was still open. Unfortunately, the pork skins were gone, but there was plenty of other choices and they all turned out to be great ones! The restaurant is in an old building on the town square. Inside are old wooden booths, mixed with tables in the back. Nothing fancy...just... More

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN, so I think I know a thing or two about Southern soul food. We went to Washington, GA for the weekend, and we ended up eating at Cade's 3 times. If you want to find a place where food is the way you remember it being as a kid, look no more.... More

My wife and I ate lunch there today. I can attest to how good the chicken fried pork chops and fried chicken are. Yummy. Also, the mac and cheese, crowder peas, and lima beans were excellent. Finish off with peach cobbler, and it was a filling lunch. I think it was $11 for the buffet, which was certainly fair for... More

My husband and I drive an hour+ from Aiken, SC just to eat at Cade's. Great home-style buffet, with what my husband (a fried chicken connoisseur) calls "the best fried chicken I've ever had." The selections are limited - typically fried chicken, plus one other entre; a couple of country-style vegetables; a couple of starches; and a couple of desserts... More

Service was good but went for the food and I wasn't disappointed. A must try if you are in or passing through Washington and want some good comfort food, take a minute and enjoy.
