The interior ceiling is so high and the area so open that noise levels are overwhelming. If the food was better we would still eat there, however, but it is only so-so so we eat elsewhere. Obviously others don't have the same opinion as the...More

Very eclectic menu at Bardenay. From Burgers and Salads to Asian and Mexican. Steak, Chicken, Pork. And Pasta. The Bardenay location in Eagle on the Boise River is more scenic than the Downtown Restaurant Although bThey distill there own Spirits in-house and have a nice...More

Our local host made reservations for a party of 14. We were seated in a separate dining area that was cozy and loaded with ambiance. Our server was professional, attentive, and clearly enjoyed giving good service to his customers. We were all quite pleased. The...More

This review is for the Meridian location. We went with a gift certificate and we we pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, level of service and the food. It can get a bit noisy but that's all that detracted from the experience.

A $17.95 cider-brined pork chop that wasn't even tender . . . That's kind of a telling description of the food and prices at Bardenay. A $9.50 panzanella dinner salad . . . the amount of feta cheese (the only protein in the salad) was...More

Good food... and they make their own gin! It is located in the heart of Boise's Basque center. Boise has a lot of Basque in this area and they hold a festival each year. Bardenay is also in downtown Boise, so it is close to...More

One of the widest varieties of drink menus I have ever seen which was nice for a microbrew as they usually just focus on beers. For food I had the beef Pho and it was very good. Cool outdoor patio and great staff. I would...More

We are a distillery & not a brewery thus the cocktail focus. We are the nation's 1st Restaurant/Distillery. Opened in 1999. Thanks so much for the fantastic review. We hope to see you again.

My personal favorite location is on eagle rd. They have the most amazing view of the river, which is perfect when eating my delicious breakfast on their shaded patio. Now this place is always busy so the food does take a little longer to come...More

We stumbled across Bardeney's after a review from a staff member of Hampton Inn. We ordered what sounded great to us (tacos and salmon) and the homemade ice cream! We had the best experience here, window seat watching all of the diners there with family...More

Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
