Love to eat breakfast or lunch here. The BIG pancakes (buttermilk, sour dough, buckwheat) are particularly wonderful! So is their French Toast. Service is good though sometimes a little slow, but rural northcentral Idaho IS rather laid back. Unfortunately, they close at 2:00 PM.

Hilltop Café is the best place to eat Grangeville! Home cooked food with large portions. Nita is super sassy and will put a smile on your face while she provides great service! Highly recommend if you are in the vicinity!

Grangeville offers only a few options for lunch, and this is a very decent place for a soup or sandwich at lunchtime. The wait staff is friendly and funny. You can tell the locals from the tourists (like me) because the tourists circumnavigate the entire building trying to find the entry door. Not a big problem, just amusing.

My son and I had breakfast here and man was it good! The place doesn't look like anything special but typical of a small town it obviously was the place to go. If we're ever in Grangeville again that's the first place well stop for breakfast!

We loved this restaurant. The service is a tad slower than one might expect in our current era, but well worth the wait. We particularly enjoyed that the waitress (who also appeared to be the owner) could serve back everything my ornery father-in-law dished out.

Visited Grangeville for a friends wedding and had lunch here before. The restaurant is very small, literally 10 tables and the waitress was so livid that it was busy that she made the entire experience beyond terrible, it actually became humorous to watch! She was slamming everyone's food down so hard on the tables that food was spilling off them.... More
