The food and wine here is exquisite. First class dinning in an informal relaxed atmosphere. But the best thing about La Tavernetta is meeting it's owner/manger & sommelier Ottavio Venditto. His passion for the wine and paring it to your tastes and the food is...More

A creative culinary joining of the tastes of Venice and Tuscany. The collection of wine presented by the best sommelier in Italy. You cannot go wrong here. Avoid the area by the docks. 5 minutes in a taxi will take you to a great experience.

Good food - everything was tasty. Bad service - long wait times + the price for some dishes in the bill suddenly appeared to be bigger than in the menu. Overpriced desserts.

Not very special, but good food and average service. In our case the personnel was more concerned with italian guests then with us, foreigners.

This is a popular restaurant with locals and visitors. Especially during the summer season and film festival. High end food, well cooked, presented and served. Lovely menu choice. Fresh fish especially good.

We chose La Tavernetta. The reviews were spot on. This is a quaint restaurant, decor is stylist, food was mouth watering and quantity was sufficient. Service was above standard. Wine selection was mind blowing. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

The meeting point between the island's people and the tourists, the contact point beetwen venetian and tuscan cuisine, the arrival point where you can find warmth and good wishes. This is the atmosphere of La Tavernetta, a small restaurant near the famous Hotel Excelsior and the Lido's Casinò Palace. An historical restaurant, frame of the first edition of Venice International Film Festival and of the later ones. Since 1996 Riccardo, tuscan chef member of F.I.C.
