My wife and I had the fisn'n'chips and my daughter had the trout. Wish I ordered the trout but it was all really good. I was on a road trip and very surprised, I was expecting a so-so cafe. Great place!

This is such a hidden secret hot spot right off the Rupert square. I have family that travel from Denver, Co that loves to always make sure they stop here to eat once or twice during their 5 day stay. Fish & Chips are yummy too with a little Homemade bread and their own creative salads to share.

Mom and pop run hole in the wall. Seriously good food. Reasonably priced, but cash only establishment.

Headed to Twin Falls and looking for a place to eat on our way. Pulled off in Rupert where family use to live. Pleased to find this restaurant. The owner was friendly and very gracious. We enjoyed visiting and reminiscing with him. We had the fish and chips, prawns and salad. The fries (chips) were hand cut. So good. Fish... More

Fresh fish -- cod, salmon and trout on menu today -- clams and veggies straight from the garden! The cole slaw was delicious, fries were cut and fried fresh, and the people in the restaurant, including other diners, made you feel right at home. If you like fish, do not pass this place up. Credit cards are not accepted, so... More

It's about 10 minutes off the highway, in a little Idaho town. A nondescript storefront. Step inside and go back in time. Basic tables. Menu written on a whiteboard. Local clientele. Literally mom and pop - mom makes the food and dad waits the tables. Fish was thick pieces of moist, flavorful cod. Hand-cut fries from locally-grown potatoes. Bread and... More

Good fresh fish Sometimes the portions are small. May be a bit hard to find so call first for directions.

The menu is on a board on the wall. You basically have 3 choices: fish & chips, Chicken strips or prawns & chips. With optional salad. BUT the fish and chips were Excellent. Served with lots of fries. Tarter sauce was the best too. The atmosphere is plain, simple tables and chairs. No frills. Seems to be a favorite in... More

We had the BEST fish and chips at Alaska's Best. The generous cod filets were perfectly battered with a light, crispy coating and then fried to perfection. The baskets of fish and fresh potato fries were delivered piping hot, after a wonderfully tangy course of cole slaw. All entrees are cooked to order and served by the owner and his... More

When we got here we were a little leary about it since the exterior isn't anything spectacular. We soon had a change of opinion. The restaurant was super clean. The owners were extremely friendly. The food was delicious! I had breaded halibut and the breading was really light and not super greasy. They had hot, fresh out of the oven... More
