This restaurant had an hour and fifteen minute wait when we got there, but we found some seats at the bar and settled in. Good beer list and a big menu to go with it. The sushi and spicy mayo was amazing, but a little pricey. The steak frites was okay, but wouldn't order again. Great service by the bar... More

We had a business dinner there this week and I had heard Greg things about the place. Atmosphere was nice and the people were as well. I asked the waiter his favorite thing on the menu, what most people like best and then what he would order between two things. He said that the steak tacos were awesome so I... More

This place is a bit interesting - when you first walk in, it appears from the atmosphere that it may be a higher dining experience. But, when you look at he menu - you turn it over and think "that's it?". The menu choices are oddly paired - sushi, tacos and very few traditional entree's. I must say - the... More

I walked in on a Wednesday evening and the place was bustling with conversation. Very nice food...lots of compliments around the table. Also met a group in a downstairs meeting room which was catered by Hub 51. Nice hors d'oeuvres (mini tacos & burgers were the best).

Business dinner . . .our group enjoyed drinks, appetizers (the cornbread is outstanding) and delicious entrees. Heard zero complaints. I personally had the chicken enchiladas and they were very good. Would go here again. Only weird thing is the bathrooms are down in the basement . .kinda isolated and creepy down there.

Fantastic casual atmosphere with a very appealing menu… I started off having a dish with Shiseido peppers, green beans and Edamame I ordered the adobo chicken with cauliflower rice for my entrée and it was delicious. My boyfriend ordered the burger which looked fantastic and had crispy incredible french fries with it. Fun and lively.

I met one of my friends here on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. The drink selection is good. Plenty of wine, beer and liquor options. We split two rounds of spicy shrimp and crab sushi. It was great! In fact it was much better than I had ever expected. I would definitely... More

We enjoyed our food. We happened to arrive during the sushi happy hour and had that as well as drinks. They were able to get us in earlier than our reservation since we arrived early after taking in a play and walking over from the Private Bank. The price wasn't bad in Chicago terms and we enjoyed what we had.

My husband and I ate here on a recent Sunday after reading favorable reviews. We are somewhat skeptical of hotel restaurants and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. There is a great selection of craft beers to choose from. First, we ordered the chicken egg rolls, available only on Sundays. They were... More

The chips and guacamole are absolutely amazing and the burgers are really good. Thick patties and delicious cheese. I love the atmosphere Even if just going for a drink.

If it seems like HUB 51 is a continual party, that's just what creators R.J. and Jerrod Melman want. Their dad, Lettuce founder Rich Melman, always told them that the restaurant business should be fun, and, as Jerrod now interprets that advice, "We want to be as playful as possible, and have a good time with our customers and the people we work with." "Our goal for the menu was to create food we like to eat," says R.J. They loaded it up with sushi, tacos, sandwiches and burgers. Great salads and appetizers like the arugula Caesar and Pulled Chicken Nachos appeal to the bar crowd, while the filet mignon steak tacos and the charred sake salmon serve notice that HUB 51 is providing both a great time and wonderful food. With dozens of beers, wines and sakes, HUB 51 is all about what you like. SUB 51, a private lounge below the restaurant, becomes an exclusive nightclub on weekends, while space in the main restaurant is also available for private parties and semi-private events.
