The Italian Beef was delicious, tamale and fries very good. Halibut was cooked a little longer than I like but still good I would prefer grilled but priced right and we enjoyed

Found Portillo's by some friends' suggestions. They did not steer wrong! Definitely have the beef sandwich if you go and get it with the medium amount of gravy. So so good!

This place screams "classic." The hot dogs are cooked the way they always have been and the toppings are traditional without being boring. Honestly, order anything and you will not be disappointed. The whole place is decked out with old Chicago pictures and old signs, which makes it feel like you stepped back in time. The staff was nice and... More

Best Chicago hotdog you will ever eat. I always get a hotdog, fries, and a hot beef sandwich. Save room for the chocolate cake. The chopped salad is also a favorite. If you are busy and don't have time to go in, just use the drive through. The drive through is so busy its double lane and they have workers... More

Greatest hot dogs in Chicago. Fries, chili, and hot chocolate are also pretty good. The strawberry shortcake for dessert was delicious.

Who doesn't love Portillos???? I mean their food is great...from hot dogs to ribs. And their salads! The best. Here's my prob. Why can't they make a smaller version...it's just too much salad. Then take the price down a little bit and it would be a win win.

Sometimes it would be very difficult to dine in for ppl travelling alone but Portillo's is a great place to dine alone and enjoy the typical Chicago food hot dog and Italian beef sandwich. Very nice place.

You just simply have to visit Portillo's when in Chicago. It has all kinds of food but when you go to a hotdog joint you eat a hotdog. The Chicago dog is just fantastic. You absolutely need to try them. The line will be long but not a factor. Moves very quickly. We have only visited for lunch but I... More
