Located on the second second floor, the restaurant is hugh. This was our first visit in four years. We had nine people in our party and did not have to wait. We enjoyed their Dim Sum because of the tasty choices and the large number of items (over 70). The items that were really outstanding included the green beans, pot... More

For someone coming from Toronto, we found the food and service exceeding our expectations. This is definitely a spot we would visit when we are back in the city.

I was at this restaurant with a group of folks from a university with which I volunteer. We were in Chicago for a conference. There were several of us and a couple of folks had some food allergies/intolerances. The wait staff at the Triple Crown were very helpful in picking out some items that would suit all of us. All... I was a bit skeptical about going to a dim sum restaurant for breakfast, especially since I was going by myself. My previous experience of dim sum had involved wait staff pushing little trays with various offerings, and I was concerned there would be too much lag time between the offerings I would want. Triple Crown had really good reviews,... More

Dined solo here on tasty dum sum as starters and stir fried prawns for main. Good portion sizes and free hot green tea.

The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of the building. Hidden & don't miss it. Dim sun & small plates appropriate for sharing. Lunch menu has pictures with familiar selections. Affordable & comfortable. Food comes out hot, perfectly prepared & presented

Wonderful dim sum traditionally prepared and served. With all of the dim sum places available in Chinatown it is hard to decide where to go. This one was recommended to me and I found it highly enjoyable as well as reasonably priced.

My wife and I walked from the Hyatt to Chinatown for dinner and found the Triple Crown Restaurant to be a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed the soft shell crab and clam soup. The walk was an easy 30 minute walk to Chinatown. Plenty to of meals to choose from.....

For a first time, we ordered the standard meals. The Cantonese fried rice is bland! The roasted quail was overcooked. Happily the roasted duck was an average value as well as the bun bao. Finally the pork steamed crepes are pretty good... not enough to me to reach out the average mark.

I am not a dim sum expert. In fact I've only had it twice - both times at this restaurant (but 8 years apart). My teenage sons, friend, and I went to Triple Crown after a day of Chicago sightseeing. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered a collection of plates to share: BBQ pork dumplings, soup... More

Chinatown
Chinatown may be one of Chicago’s smallest neighborhoods geographically, but it's big on character, colors, sights, sounds, and flavors. In this South Side neighborhood, you’ll find authentic Chinese restaurants dotting the length of Wentworth Avenue. After a meal of dim sum, noodles, duck or other tantalizing food specialties, satiate your visual appetite with dozens of public art sculptures sprinkled throughout the neighborhood ranging from animal structures to pagodas, a tile mosaic, Chinatown Gate, and a Buddhist Temple.
