Bakin & Eggs is one of the few places in Chicago that seems to welcome small children. The floor plan is open, there is more space between tables, they have ample seating for small children and their kid's menu is diverse. The food is of course, great. Parking isn't easy, but the #11 bus is back.

Friendly. Busy. Only open Thurs-Mon. Best bacon and great frittatas. I generally come here about once a week for breakfast or lunch.

We had a family of 5. We ate at 1pm on a Sunday, Game 5 of the World Series. We used "NO WAIT" app to get a reservation and walked to the restaurant from the neighborhood nearby and our table was ready shortly after we arrived. The "flight" of bacon was a big hit. We tried 5 different flavors of... More

I had heard good things about this place for breakfast, so my wife and I bundled up and walked over. Despite a nearly empty dining room, the service was slow and inattentive. Surely the food would make up for it, right? Not hardly. I ordered whole wheat pancakes with a granola topping. My wife had a western frittata with potatoes... More

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful! Service was excellent. Very cute, nicely decorated place. I had the Banana Pecan Bread French Toast which was very tasty! I would definitely visit again!

Bacon was delish. Try the flight, it has all the varieties on one plate.I had the biscuits and gravy with rosemary and it was amazing.

As a matter of full disclosure, I have been prohibited from eating bacon since my heart attack in 2003 and Bakin' & Eggs features a pig's side of bacon on its breakfast/brunch/lunch menu, including a bacon flight five strong and a waffle with bacon bits in the batter. But the restaurant at 3120 North Lincoln Avenue in the Lake View... More

Neighborhood go to restaurant. Bright pleasant interior. Bake goods counter. Bake goods are half price on Mondays, as restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Interesting full breakfast menu. And sandwiches for lunch. Street parking.

This is a very chic place with great food! The atmosphere was nice and the wait staff was fine. We enjoyed two coffees and got one specialty drink. We split a flight of bacon between 4 of us to try each variety. The jalapeño was our favorite! Great flavor and good spiciness! That was a very fun way to sample... More
