We've been to other Francesca restaurants and specifically chose this one for Christmas dinner. We had a reservation but it was chaotic in the restaurant and while we crammed into the bar area to wait it got worse. We would have walked out but choices were limited and we have liked Francesca's food. Finally the hostess suggested we might prefer... More

Great atmosphere and they had a decent selection of veggie/vegan options in terms of vegetables. All the meat eaters enjoyed their dinners too.

We were here on December 18, the coldest night in recent memory. I'd chosen the restaurant for its proximity to our hotel, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fine food and warm, professional service. Our table of four ordered a wide range of dishes, including steak, salmon, and pasta. Everything was well prepared, and we saved room for dessert.... More

We stayed at a hotel on Michigan Ave. very close to the Hancock Building on during the coldest few days we've ever spent in downtown Chicago. We did not want to walk far for dinner. TripAdvisor showed us Francesca's on Chestnut. It was perfect. It was busy but service was attentive. I had a salmon entre that was very good... More

Off the beaten path by a couple of blocks but good food and a even better value. Nice wine list and even had the darker Italian beer. Service attentive but not too much. Too full to try deserts

The food was served so fast that you knew that nothing was just made. The minestrone was at best mediocre, the carbonara had too much cream on it, the eggplant was not sufficiently cooked, and the profiteroles were soggy. All in all a disappointment.

Just a really nice Italian Restaurant. I shared a Caesar Salad with a friend, it was served already split, and quit portions as well. The was, and always is, just awesome! The service efficient without being fussy. It's one of my favorite places to go, and just around the corner from the Hancock Center, Water Tower Place, and lot's of... More

I just wanted to send a note to say that we dropped by your restaurant a week ago by random as we were looking for a quick drink and lunch and enjoyed it so much that we brought 6 of our friends back for dinner! We arrived late on sat night, you were packed but the staff made us feel... More

Francesca's is the best Italian restaurant and very fairly priced...we are chefs and have travelled the world searching for the astonishing cuisine from Toscano on the great Oceania cruise lines to small larders in quaint towns. Some descriptives for Francesca's: incredibly professional, front staff worked so well as a team under the leadership of the general manager Alex Montero, one... More

Been there with some colleagues and all happy. Service was friendly and food good, only our table was a bit squeezed in so not overwhelmed by the experience. Francesca's Vitello was great though.

Thank David S

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
