Despite a cafeteria-like setting, the food at this restaurant is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the beet salad and Salomon bowl.

By comparison to the average hotel this resides in, this restaurant is lovely. Attentive friendly staff. Lots of coffee and smiles. My wife went for the eggs benedict whilst I went for the chorizo omelette Both were beautiful and plentiful

The W Hotel has transformed the Midland Club building into an upscale hotel with the IPO Restaurant adjacent to its entrance. While the hotel has maintained much of the historic architecture, the black, white, gray and chrome restaurant has a modern yet warm ambience. The brunch menu is limited but offers some unique dishes like lobster skillet and lobster claw... More

On a Friday at lunch time there were more managers than wait staff and the restaurant was only a quarter full . The service was fine. We ate a crab cake and a brie and ham sandwich, the latter came with tomato soup in place of a salad or fries. The food was tasty enough. The prices were what you... More

We were delighted to celebrate our wedding anniversary with the fine staff at IPO. Once they knew it was our anniversary, they bumped the service up a notch, and the food was exquisite. A wonderful place for a special event dinner, or just somewhere to dine in.

We had lunch here after a conference at the JW Marriot. The offerings and atmosphere was very modern. If you like small portions and kale this is the place for you. Pricing was a little expensive for what you receive but not a bad overall experience.

Have been to IPO, which is inside the W hotel on Adams, on a dozen occasions. The menu has changed over the past five years, becoming moderately healthier (though I miss the skirt steak previously served at lunch time). The restaurant has always had a table ready as reserved for lunch. Sandwiches and entrees are all pretty good. The entries... More

Went for breakfast as the restaurant is part of The W Hotel. Bad coffee, warm orange juice, slow service and a very odd selection on the menu. Not worth it, lots of better places including the McDonald's right next door.

I've eaten here 2 times. Had a latte both times. Weak and no flavor, even with extra shots. And to add insult to injury $14!! Bacon is lackluster. Missing that smoky meaty flavor. The lobster claw benedict at $21- horrible. The biscuits were cold. Lobster chewy, stringy, and no flavor. The "truffle" hollandaise was also cold and watery. Trader Joe's... More
