I come here with my family about once a month and we are always thrilled with the quality of the sushi and other dishes. We love the pork belly ramen soup. The prices are reasonable and service is always friendly. Highly recommend!

Love this place. Great neighborhood sushi spot. Prices are totally fair. Haven't had a bad experience yet!
Went in with my son and 4 year old granddaughter who adores sashimi. The service was excellent; the sushi was fresh and beautifully presented and the price was affordable by any large city standard. We enjoyed it so much that 2 nights later we ordered...More
I went to eat sushi at Umi, and to my great surprise I found a chef I knew before.... Jose.... He used to be the Sushi Chef at Kamehachi, a restaurant that was located in downtown Chicago, on Ontario.....To my surprise he was here, he...More

This place is a diamond with great tasting contemporary versions of maki rolls, fried oysters, noodle dishes, desserts, and of course sushi. Just bring your own bottle of Saki, beer, or wine and enjoy a high end experience of food and service for reasonable prices!
We are always hesitant on trying a new / different "sushi spot", especially with out of town guests visiting. We were really happy we tried UMI. The food, the service and the ambience were all top shelf. Freshly prepared sushi, great Asian entrees and everything...More
