Our daughter and her new husband hosted their wedding dinner ( 28 people) in the newly remodeled private room across the street from the Irazu restaurant. We had a very positive experience and would definitely recommend it for a smaller gathering. The staff went above...More

Our first time time dining (thanks to my sister's high recommendation). The brief wait was worth it. Henry took care of us right from the start : appetizers while waiting, secured a table for us and service was flowing. Food was no nonsense, absolutely delicious,...More

Stopped in for lunch without plans or reservations and we were totally wowed by this restaurant. Chicken empanadas are just superb. Followed up with coffee "con leche" that was the best I ever had. We will return next trip to Chicago!

It has great vibes and good food. Costa Rican Items as well as others. It is very busy and they let you BYOB. They have a nice patio as well as a nice indoor seating area. Similar vibes to 90 Miles Cuban nearby.

Description
Irazu is Chicago's first and only Costa Rican restaurant and we've been perfecting our style for the past 27 years. We've been a mainstay in the heart of Bucktown, just steps from the O'Hare Blue Line (Western station) and "The 606". Come visit us for a quick bite or a rustic sit-down meal with friends and family - your stomach and your party (and your wallet) will thank you! Pura Vida!
