We thought that we would give this a try as we have never been to a OPH. Everyone in our party ordered a different menu item. Our food arrived at the table very quickly. The buttermilk pancakes were scrumptious! No one was disappointed in their...More

I wanted a breakfast that would be reasonably priced, taste food and wouldn’t be too much food. This place delivered. No complaints.

Original Pancake House was across street from hotel. Doesn’t seem like a chain restaurant. Good service. Well prepared breakfast. Comfortable.

Amazing pancake house! Plus eggs. Plus servers who are friendly despite the crowds. I used to make pilgrimages here when in Chicago on business; i recently returned and it is a good as ever. Don't miss the thin swedish pancakes w lingonberries.

Good neighborhood breakfast place. The food is good, reasonably priced, and fast friendly service. At peak times there will be a wait, so time your visit unless you want to queue. We had fresh strawberry waffles, buckwheat pancakes, eggs Benedict, with fresh orange juice, all...More

Was it staff is attentive, food comes quickly. One type syrup provided, I didn't inquire about special no-sugar etc. Nearly everything comes with pancakes. Coffee was OK but I did get one serving of burnt dregs on one visit. Next cup was good.

Extensive menu for everyone's palate, very reasonable prices, and an excellent breakfast. Get there before 8AM or you may be waiting outside, in inclement weather this would not be fun. Very convenient to State St/Michigan Ave area, street parking available. Small, but very cozy and...More

Great breakfast selections, friendly staff and nice venue, a much better option than a drab hotel breakfast! Maybe a little on the pricey side but the food is good and the portions are huge, no need to have lunch.

It was across the street from our hotel. The kids always like the pancake selection. I find it a little pricey. But, the pancakes are good.

I didn't see any pets in the restaurant when we were there, but out of consideration of other patrons and their possible allergies to pets, I would think that if they were allowed, it would only be on the patio.

I'm not sure but I don't think so. You won't be waiting too long if you have to wait. We've never had to wait for a table though.
