Looked a bit unappetising from the outside, being below street level. I'm glad we weren't put off as we had the best burger of our stay and the cheapest too. The bar is steeped in history and full of character and we discovered what it...More

The original Billy Goat Tavern opened in 1934 and this one opened in 1964. It is located on the lower level of Michigan Ave. which does make it a bit distinctive. Many reporters from local newspapers like Mike Royko did frequent and write about Billy...More

This place is great for those that are nostalgic for the 90s, and there is memorabilia on the walls to remember. Burgers are average to below average. Just a bun, meat and cheese. No more. No less. The area is safe, but you have to...More

Remember the cheeborger cheeborgor skit? yeah. This is the place. It's a burger and fries. No Coke, only Pepsi. Unless you are a old school SNL fan, don't come for the food. It's merely average.

Had to go down some stairs that were like entering a subway station and we were underground. Their reputation is built on some famous celebrities eating there (must have been many years ago) and their informing customers - no fries, chips and double is best...More

Fun place with great memories of SNL, burgers were good. We went for lunch and had fun. There are no fries but you can get chips, just like in the skit.

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

This place is more of a beer and burger restaurant, so I really wouldn't recommend it for breakfast.

Not sure, but I rather doubt it. Just regular bar food, cheeseburgers, ham and cheese, French fries. It's all about the history, not necessarily the food.
