I went here because I LOVE the gage. The cheese plate we had was wonderful. I really enjoyed the cocktails and was impressed with the wine list. The happy hour special looked great. The con is that the portions are smaller then I wanted them...More

A friend recommended Acanto and I'm so grateful. I went twice. Some of the best Italian food I have experienced. Excellent wait staff. Great experience. Will go back again for sure!

Went before visiting the bean on a cold rainy day so glad we did. The food was very good as well as my adult cocktail but the service and ambience was what made the experience memorable. You can get a great salad, soup, or more...More

Perfect spot for a pre-concert meal, within walking distance of Symphony Hall. They have small plates and interesting appetizers. The food was very good but it was a bit challenging for a vegetarian.

A wonderful meal. I had the chicken and my husband had pork chops. Both were cooked perfectly. We split the lemon dessert, which was also terrific. The servers were attentive and helpful. Highly recommended!

The food was no better than average compared to other excellent Italian restaurants in Chicago. I do not think the prices are justified. Came here because it is well ranked on TripAdvisor, but was somewhat disappointed.

I can’t say enough about this place! Our server was so knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful and a really nice guy. The other staff was equally attentive-every time our water glasses were halfway empty, they were at the table- but not intrusive at all. The...More

We decided at the last minute to go out to lunch on Easter Sunday and did NOT want "traditional" Easter fare. Got a reservation (15 minutes from booking time). The environment is wonderful. Server very professional. Food was fantastic - veal meatballs and bucatini was...More

If your children are well behaved and stay at the table yes...but it is a relatively small place and if they tend to be loud or need to move about I would say no.
