We met a friend for dinner here during a trip to Chicago and his recommendation was spot-on. This is not a fancy place - think pub atmosphere - but with truly outstanding food. The green bean appetizer was great - fresh green beans lightly fried - not too greasy and very tasty. We had a mix of dinners that were... More

Seriously my three favorite things here. Everything on menu is honestly great. Small, intimate, casual. Kitchen is open late too.

I am a huge fan of the hole in the wall, dive bar esque feel to the place. Plus, the menu is simple and nothing over the top. I had the Paramount burger which was excellent. However, it was not cooked medium rare but more medium well. With thin patty's, it is harder to achieve this type of cooking. Drinks... More

Called in late at night after the theatre. They were still doing fresh food and the waitress was lovely. Not too over the top but couldn't do enough for us. Only a small place but has a great vibe about it, dark lighting and good music. Plenty of friendly people at the bar, open till late, cocktails, draft beers and... More

Great find. Great food. We tried the steak tartare, the burger, onion rings with an excellent tzatziki sauce. All very good. Interesting beer menu too. Well worth a visit and an short walk from the blue line.

They always have a great selection of craft beer on tap, plus the food is also really good! They have more than your average bar including poutine, steaks, and a really good Rueben. Plus you can't beat the $5 beer + a shot.

This Michelin Bib-Gourmand winner is a low-key, unassuming gourmet affair; from the exterior you'd expect it to be no more than a bar which serves food. Peruse their menu, take a drink at the bar and allow yourself the pleasure of being swept up in an unexpected gastronomic treat. The over-used & oft-abused term 'gastropub' comes nowhere near describing the... More

I just moved to Chicago and stand in awe at the number of great restaurants the city has. However one particular place stands out from the rest, The Paramount Room. This place is the quintessential Chicago experience, hands down. Not forced or fabricated it is what it is plain and simple. It has all the charm and grit of a... More
