I love this restaurant. I eat here quite often. The owners are wonderful and the chef is a genuine transplant from Rome. I've eaten at a ton of Italian restaurants and so far this one reminds me the most of the food I had when traveling in Italy. The risotto is my favorite. Restaurant risotto is often a big no-no... We went there with two couples, who had been many times. We went on a weekend, and the place was jammed. They don't take reservations, so you might have a long wait, but we were lucky. The menu is extensive, and it includes many specials. There is parking in the rear, and a small outside area for dinning in the... More

I went there with a couple of friends before a show at the Prairie Lakes theater. BYOB is great so we spent more on food. We ordered the pumpkin ravioli an appetizer. It was delicious. I had a cod entree while one of my friends had a salmon and pasta dish along with another friend having a prosciutto pasta dish.... More

My wife and I stopped in for dinner (without children) and brought a bottle of Vino. The service was great and the food was excellent. I had the home made meat lasagna and my wife ordered off the menu pasta with vodka sauce. The Lemoncello Cake and Gelato is a must. The owner's Mother spoke with us at our table... More

The appetizers are pretty good, the main courses are so-so. Pretty cool that it's BYOB. Nice family-owned atmosphere as well.

If you love Italian food that is tasty and creative this is the place for you. The chief is from Italy and he makes wonderful pasta dishes with some that are gluten free. It's BYOB so you can enjoy your favorite wine with no corking fees. They do take reservations for dinner and I highly suggest it. We love this... More

Small establishment with a great and friendly staff! BYOW too for a small cork fee. Haven't had anything I did not like and generous portions!

My wife and and I live not all that far from this unpretentious looking restaurant, bur we had never heard of it before last week when we stopped by for lunch. It was a spur of the moment thing driven by a recommendation from my physical therapist. Now, I like Italian, but Chicagoland is awash with Italian restaurants, many of... More

The food is really good and it is a jovial atmosphere. My only issue with Via is that it is on the small side and that means you are sitting right next to other diners. From my own experience I realize that bothers me much more than other patrons. Its amazing how much you find out about a strangers life... More
