My family and I just finished hiking mid afternoon and we all craved sushi. Wasabi was recommended by our SIUE College student. We just made it in time before the kitchen closed for lunch ( just before 2pm). The staff was very cheery and helpful and the sushi was delicious. My favorite sushi place is Mark's Fusion Cafe in Rockford,... More

Went there for lunch with a friend. Waiters were ok and the food..well...it was ok I guess. I had way better sushis. I realized today when I checked my credit card account that they charged me $51 instead of $24. I guess their lunch special is ok for $10, but I personally would not go there anymore.

This the review sent to wasabi with no response. I would not trust kitchen or service I was initially very excited to have a Wasabi in our town. And my excitement was not a disappointment as quality and service was good. We have traveled very often to St. Louis for Sushi Over the years chef/staff have changed not always for... More

I've tried several sushi places around Troy and Edwardsville areas. Wasabi is by far the best tasting. Very fresh, very tasty...price is about same for other sushi places. The one in Edwardsville is small, yet cozy. Not too loud..although they do have live music on occassion. Eat here a lot!

This is an ok place - not too many sushi options in Edwardsviile. However fish is not always the freshest. Limited wine options (organic wine has been on the menu for months but they never have it in stock). Service is usually good.

Tip 1 - If coming for lunch or weekend dinner show up a little early. Wasabi is a very small sushi restaurant. If you are coming for lunch at the standard time 12-1, you will end up with very little space to eat or maneuver. Show up early and request a table close to the door or outside or, in... More

The place was crowded and the girl taking names told us to wait outside. Seriously? So we went upstairs and called in an order. That was a much better idea.

This is a chain restaurant around these parts. The sushi is pretty good for a land-locked area. They have a decent selection of sashimi and rolls - I really like the tuna and the caterpillar roll. Service is just okay; servers are mainly college students that do not have good knowledge of the menu. Wine selection is limited. The last... More

Being that it was my birthday, my wife took me out for dinner. Since I'd been jonesing for some good sushi, we made our first visit to the Wasabi. It will not be our last. Put a delicious Bento box in front of me, with sushi, teriyaki beef, tempura and steamed rice, and I was in Japanese food heaven.. My... More
