We were hungry and had no idea where or what we wanted to eat on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Very quiet and they were getting ready to close but food was good and waitress was friendly. We could not tell it was closing time and only saw the sign turned.

Food was great. Very unique interior. Friendly staff and great to talk to. Coffee was fresh and just off 20 making it a great little stop. Not much of a booze collection. But did have a drink.

We have gone to this restaurant for several years for breakfast after church. In the last year their venting system has gone from bad to worse and all 6 of us have decided the food is not worth your clothing smelling and our lungs burning. Too bad ! Their food was pretty good.

First of all, the place was just plain hot and muggy inside. On an 82° day, it was cooler outside than inside. Secondly, one waitress, waiting on 5 out of 12 tables, served a table that walked in about 10 minutes after we had sat down. In the meantime, we hadn't so much as received a menu or had been... I have been coming up to this area for vacation for 20 years now and this was my first time eating at the diner. Definitely will be returning the service was phenomenal. What I believe was the owner was... More

In the area for a working vacation and decided to grab breakfast on a cold Sunday morning. The service was great, sat at the counter top. Friendly and talkative service. Very attentive and the awesome ladies kept my coffee cup full. Food tasted great, the omelet was filling and toast fresh. Will for sure return. Homemade donuts were perfect touch... More

We were in Galena for the weeken craft fair , but it was so crowded we headed toward Elizabeth looking for somewhere to eat breakfast . We drove by it twice because we thought it was a bar !!! It is definitely not much to look at, the service is extremely slow, but if you can get past that you... More

One Sunday morning I had a hankerin' for pancakes, and remembered I'd forgotten to try this local place. The Yolk has a great rustic appeal both outside and in its dining room, with lots of whimsical decor and a big inviting room for breakfast or lunch. The menu has both creative and standard diner choices. The coffee tastes like diner... More
