Service is friendly and attentive in a family style pizza place. The ingredients were fresh but the pizza lacked flavour. Menu is dated and needs an update to more adventurous tastes.

Grabbed lunch here when we were in Evanston for the afternoon, and I'm very glad we did. I had the Lou and it was really, really good. We also decided to split a Chocolate Chip Pizza at the end, which was delicious. Server was also super friendly and made the experience excellent.

There is another deep dish chain in Evanston -- you know which one I mean-- but the service at Lou's is far above that of the other. Very friendly staff who actually talk to you, are knowledgeable, don't hand you the standard and rather stupid line, How's everything tasting today, good? and scuttling away. Now, deep dish takes a while,... More

Like many others, I watch several food shows on cable. Too many to name here, but when one focuses on pizza or steak, I pay attention. Lou Malnati's was a name I filed on the back of my forehead for a future visit to Chi-town, a mere 3 hours away. (I had a native Chicagoan refer to his city as... More

If you're first time visiting Chicago like us, you must try their deep dish pizza. After we ordered, the waitress told us it will take 30 minutes. It actually took a little bit more but its worth the wait. Everybody in our group of 6 agreed that the pizzas ware delicious. We froze the leftover and took it to our... More

I grew up in Evanston and have since moved away. We have to get our fix of Chicago "junk food" on every trip back. I grew up going to Lou Malnati's on Lincoln and this location does not disappoint. My extended family (about 18 people) participated with a mixture of deep dish, thin crust and salad. The taste was excellent... More

Had to try the deep dish before leaving Chicago. Good comfort food. The butter crust might have been a bit richer than I liked, but my teen enjoyed it immensely. The house salad was enough for 2. Reasonable prices, giant sodas, good service, clean.

We were staying at a hotel just down the street and ordered pizza from here for our dinner. One to two pieces is all you will need, and save a couple for breakfast the next day! Longer order time than most pizza places, but well worth the wait.

This is where I go for authentic deep dish in the Chicago area, and I was happy that they opened this branch in Evanston. The pizza is great, and the staff is nice (every time I've been here the manager has walked around to ask each table how the meal is)

Went to Lou Malnati's with my daughter while visiting her on Evanston. Great deep dish. Not so piled high to make me stuffed but definitely substantial. Try the 'Lou'. It has spinach but not overboard. Their thin crust was good too. Just the right amount of sauce. Not overboard! Felt like an authentic Chicago pizzeria. Loved it!
